I thought they just pushed it back cause Paul knocked over something important while flailing his arms around during a podcast. But yeah, I don't mind sitting around another couple months. At least now the release won't interfere with hunting season (a sad justification, but a good distraction while I wait for my next mmo fix).
i hope killing defenseless animals makes you feel more of a man, your scum.
They needed more time to make it look more like Warcraft since Burning Crusade came out.
ok now that is just so funny on so many levels Unless it wasnt actually sarcasm in which case it's sad :P

Your mistaken. This isn't SOE its EA/Mythic. SOE has a habit of releasing Alpha quality games. Things have changed as first impressions now make or break game successes.
Actually you're mistaken. SoE had nothing to do with Vanguard's release. Sigil was out of money, they had to release. At no point were they under preassure from Sony to release. And I wouldn't dismiss a chance of being bad because it's EA/Mythic. Mythic already burned us with Imperator Online. I'd rather have that release as an alpha ten no release at all. And Microsoft didn't do so hot with Asheron's Call 2, in fact they downright shut that game down.
I think there pushing it back for more than just racial parings. They want to go over every detail again and again trying to find ways to improve. That is great, and while I have been an angry EA customer in the past im glad they are doing something good with their money besides making another bf2 expansion.
I am glad that a company actually is doing this right by taking the time to fix and add things properly. Most companies would just release it on the fly and deal with issues later just so they make the money right away. It shows Mythic truely cares about their game and its fans.
At first I wasn't really sold on the game but the more i read about the warhammer ip and by watching all those nice videos it makes me wanna give this game a shot. I'm impressed.

its games-workshop you should be thanking not EA..everything has to be approved by games-workshop before it goes in the game...games-workshop is the boss not EA.

How can you be burned by a company with a game they never released? And there's a world of difference between where Imperator was when it was canceled, vs where WAR is at now.
As for Microsoft? They don't seem to be able to manage to figure out any MMO. And Turbine? They had AC. AC2, and DDO, prove AC's success to be a fluke. So far LotRO seems to be doing well enough, but it's only just come out, so we'll see how things stand at the 1 and 3 month marks before passing judgment.
As for SOE and Vanguard. You do realize that SOE has a piss poor reputation because of EQ, EQ2 and SWG, and to a lesser extent Planetside, well before VG? The rushed release of EQ2 certainly is mimicked by VG, and many people figure if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.
