There will never be another expansion released for the game. There aren't enough players left to make one profitable. That was the reason they canceled the last one they were working on.

the reason an expansion wasnt developed last year was because the poll results for content vs fixes came out in favour of bug fixes
so the producers ordered the devs to fix the game and then start releasing content
now the game is all but fixed - they are releasing new content
rebel themepark revamped - azure cabal quest line
in chapter 7 there will be the imperial themepark and new heroic mob quests that require whole groups to defeat
there should be an expansion next year - the devs said no expandion for the this year
they are also addressing the issue with groups - group sizes and xp values

Well look at things from another angle: the game currently is doing poor, no doubt on that, in order to boost subcriptions they know full well they need content, and thats why they must make some form of an expansion to the game,current content is like a dry well, even rehashing the old content will not suffice. The way i see it is... expansion or they will over time lose more players, and its allready lost too many players they have to roll the dice again.
So you think it'll bring MORE people back if they force you to PAY for the content that is supposed to bring us all back?
Give it away for free, and MAYBE they get a couple people back. Attach 20 bucks or more to it and forget about it.

$OE puts a spin by saying no expansion due to the players desire for game fixes - after the mass exodus of over 200k players, any expansion that may have been in the pipe was squashed. Why is simple...there are NOT enough SWG subscriptions to warrant the money and resources developing an expansion would take. An expansion = $OE flushing $$$$ down the crapper, and $OE is very aware of that. Fanbois will believe anything, no matter how ridiculous or unreal, to support their ongoing belief in the NGE.
The devs are adding back content that was NEVER revamped to work with the NGE upon release. It has been 18 months and look how little has actually been added or restored to the NGE version of this game thus far.
