Worth giving a try?

Hi

I have played alot of  MMORPGs UO, SWG, Ryzom, EQ2, WoW, EVE-Online, Vanguard  and so on. I played UO for about 1,5 years and WoW for 7 month but all the others for 1-6 month. I can never really settle down with one MMORPG and just stick with it. So the question is will LOTRO stick or just end up in the been there done that pile?

And I don't have as much time playing games as I used to due to getting children and working and so on, and that is why I quit Vanguard because that I did not have the time that I wanted to put in to the game.

thanks

Up until your last sentence, I would have said it would have ended up in your been there done that pile.

LOTRO is best enjoyed when you do everything (deeds, quests, crafting) That takes time and you don't have to do it in large chunks of time. Except for the dungeons, you could easily make progress with 15-20 minutes of play at a time. Less depending on what it is.

I would say that LOTRO is well suited for us parents with crazy work schedules. Not that hardcore powerlevelers can't have fun, but this game strikes a balance.

Thanks for the answer Ruthgar, a well balanced game is just what I'm looking for. Because some days I can play for about 1 hour and other days several hours so it would be cool if it suited both causal and hardcore, solo and group.  Just wish I would have tested the open beta before it was to late. Would like to test it for a few days before buying it.

Most of the group quests can be done in 15-20 minutes. The dungeons can take a long time to complete, however you don't have to raid to have a good character in LOTRO. It is better to group, but I solo and I didn't have a problem in Close Beta until the mid 30s. They will work on adding more no group quests.

I would give you my buddy key, but my son used it.
