Are there any MMORPG's that have Private Servers for just your LAN?

My brother is coming back home for along time and I was wondering if there are any MMORPG's that have "free to play" private servers that allow you to play with people on your LAN for free? I don't mind purchasing the game but I want to play it for free on private servers.

Thank you!

Or maybe a LAN/Co-Op PC RPG that you know of?

No, there are no mmorpg's that are going to give you permission to play their game on a private server. Private servers are forbidden by every mmorpg's EULA, Terms of Service, and so forth. They are also illegal. If you want to play on a lan, I suggest a multiplayer rpg, such as Neverwinter Nights, Diablo, etc.

Edit: Neverwinter Nights 2 would be my recommendation.

There aren't, but imo, great games to consider for a lan are:

Phantasy Star Online: Blue burst (HIGHLY recommended)

    Phantasy Star Universe

    Guild Wars

Kind of defeats the purpose of "Massively Multiplayer", don't you think?

I know of one, and it's a pretty inovative fantasy MMO. It's called Minions of Mirth. It's a fantasy themed MMORPG with something like 16 races and 13 classes. You can play light dark and monster realms. Double and triple class... and run your own server. The game is $30 and has no monthly fee. Purchasing gives you the ability to run your own server. There are PC and MAC clients. The game was developed by a small but talented group in the US . The graphics are on par with UO nothing fancy but servicable. There are many quests and inovative design elements. I still play at least one or twice a week.

Oh, you can try it for free.
