I'm looking for anew game to play and was just wondering whether the PvP in EQII was any good. (I'm coming from AC, SB, VG and EvE)
Oh and does EQII have flagged PvP or a separate PvP server
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

It has some amazing things like pvp ranges to avoid a lvl 70 killing lvl 20 people. That helps a lot to balance the fights.
In fact there are a lot players wich stay @ low lvls to play only pvp
probably pvp in eq2 is much more fun at low lvls (20 and around) than @ hi lvls
i hope this info is useful for u
I personally enjoy it... I'm going to resub later in the month so I can be an evil fairy like in RL. :P
You really gotta have your nuts about you. Lock level, farm AA.. group, etc. It takes more than sheer brute stubborness to get somewhere on them.
Thankfully enough. Chuck norris jokes were never a hit there as far as I remember. People still think its funny to belt one out in barrens chat.
Thanks for the feedback guys!
I'm currently installing the game and will jump on one of the PvP servers. Are there any particular classes that excel at PvP, and any to avoid? I'm not a huge fan of playing a favour of the month class, but I do also like to at least be competitive
Oh and if anyone is interested in showing a newbie the ropes that would be awesome!
Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7
probably the worst class are mages. You can have some fun with them @ low levels, but @ 60+ they sucks for pvp
Fury = FotM right now. They're really hard to beat according to the reading I've been doing on the main boards. Something about people specing them out of heal and into DPS to put them in line with a wizard. Cept their burst is unmatched for 45 secs.
Swash = Has an I-Win button in their AA line. Not to mention 2 other very over the top skills. This I had first had knowledge of and aparently they're on deck for the nerf bat.
Brigand = FP's answer to the Swash. Lots of stuns and snares.
As the other person said, as it stands right now... Wizards, mages etc. get hella resisted up at high levels. I'm more than sure they are working on this.
I think the least played class in PVP is the coercer. Which I'm going to bite the bullet and play on Venekor. Should be amazingly funny to play if they do figure out a work around.
Word to the wise... If you are new, level to 10. Lock xp. Go die about 20000 times till you have a full bar of xp debt. Go do all quests that are non repeatable, and level from them. That way you acumulate a very good amount of AP's for your special ablilities. You'll find pleanty of pvp at 10-30 and if you don't have these, you'll get hammered by people that do.
Good luck, don't get frustrated.
Thanks guys All of your feedback has been much appreciated.
Now to create a character and start the long leveling journey!

I listen to the Nagafen (PvP) podcast to keep up with the latest. If you're going to pick a PvP server I'd suggest going to Nagafen.
