Hi, I have some questions before i go and buy this game.

1. Witch Melee Class is most fun to play.

2. Witch Melee Class does most dmg

3. Is it possible to be a Tarutaru with a melee class or does it sux

4. How is End-game PVE/PVP

Sorry for my bad english ;(

KSEA players often seek out PVP in a game, but they are looking to socialize with and form alliances with other players who are interested in doing the same. They often seek out guilds or clans that organize formal PVP events, or work on group strategies and tactics.

All four of those questions invoke completely opinionated answers, I hope you're ready to do some deliberating.

I can probably guess the most fun melee would be Ninja, most damaging, Samurai, end-game, probably really boring, and a Tarutaru melee class would most likely be really gimp.

The only one I can answer is the Taru one. Yes, you can taru melee, but you'll need some good gear to match up to classes that are more naturally inclined to melee.

    1. most fun would be ninja but its very expensive and you wont behable to do that unless you buy gold until you have another job 60+

    2. best melee is samari or however you spell it

    3. there is end game but it is repeatative and boreing and half the jobs arnt involved in part of the end game, there is little to no pvp theres ballista but it takes to long to get in a game and they only happen a couple times a day

    4. tarus as melee wont get into any groups they are a mage race but you can still be a taru melee you just might get flamed for it.

the game is outdated i recomend a newer game...

I bought this game the day it came out in australia, that was awhile ago. I Moved on to wow, for a year. I came back on to ff online to find out that the big busy citys are practicly empty. The game is dead i'm sorry to say.

The 3 starter citys might be less populas then from what u remeber (San'doria , Bastok , Windurst) but on the holiday events those citys get packed again.^^

Everyone's moved to the "East" now , the newest expansion city Art ughan Whitegate has become the new Jeuno.

The following is my opinion, so i may be wrong.

    1. Its Samurai for me ( Thieves love us, and everyone loves thieves ) but ive played Thief before and they are really fun to!

Warriors are fun if you enjoy just standing there and attacking.

Samurai's do alot of damage but people will mostly want to "Skillchain" with you (which is why we are loved by thieves).

    2. Monks do alot of damage and pretty fast, even faster with their special 2hour ability. Samurai as explained above can "Skillchain" with alot of people, Skillchaining does alot of damage but you have to be attentive and alert to be succesful in it. Thieves are very good in damage dealing because of their weapon abilities(or skills w/e). Dark Knights hit for alot of damage, but they are slow and they have low accuracy. Ninjas can be powerful to but ive only ever gotten mine to 37 to use it as a second job and they are very expensive. Ives seen dragoons do some damage but they are very under-rated and dont get alot of party invites.

3.Yes, any race can have any job in FFXI except Taru's arent that great as melee's, if you want to make a melee class make a Elvaan or a Galka. However this does not mean that playing Taru melee's is impossible, its just that you will do slightly less damage than a Elvaan or Galka. Your equipment is more important though.

4.End-game PVE is kinda fun, you'll be killing gods like genbu but mostly be killing Kirin : . And PVP is fun to but you dont have to do it end-game it has caps like lvl 30 cap, lvl 40, or no cap which is for the lvl 75 people.

Since you dont know alot about FFXI ill tell you this : FFXI IS NOT A CASUAL MMO. YOU CANT SOLO IN THIS GAME.

There is only one job that can solo and thats the Beast Master or simply known as BST. The only soloing youll be doing is to lvl 10. From then on you will have to level in a party to get to lvl 75.

Rangers and Corsairs can do ALOT of damage but they are very expensive xD.

If you want more info on FFXI please go here http://ffxi.killvoid.com/ or http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/ or http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Main_Page , each melee class is good but they have different play styles which is why its hard to say which is best or does the most damage.

Also, dont limit yourself to only melee classes, Black Mages and Rangers are probably the best damage dealers IMO and they arent melee classes :P
