My favorite game is Asheron's Call 1, the physics engine amazingly enough still blows all the new games out of the water.

EndlessAges is by far the best MMORPG out there, no other game comes close to the feel and gaming experience that www.endlessages.com provides. check it out for yourself, it owns!

98% of the teenage population does or has accepted Marijauna propoganda. If you are one of the 2% that thinks for yourselves and has read any of the many scientific studies that prove cannabis is harmless then please paste this in your signiture.

in my opinion eve-online is best up to now, but i hope dark and light will be at least as good (but i could be wrong...), great graphic, lots of possibilities, really HUGE universe to explore, nice combat and pvp, not as many kids as in other games, lots of players online, lots of possibilities (really you could do almost anything that you desire and you dont need to create another char simply train existing char), best skill learning that i ever meet:) No killing mobs for lvl up..

Oh one more thing its sci-fi, you fly ships (from frigate up to battleships (now update with more ships will be soon(tm))), combat is very tactical in my opinion this is +, but there are diffrent tastes too so to someone this could be - :))))

    My favorite is Anarchy Online.

I played a few: DAoC (my second favorite), EQ, Endless Ages, AC2, SB, Horizons, Lineage 2 but still none of them has the appeal of Anarchy Online.

I tried more than a douzen MMORPGs. Here is which one I liked most:

    - Asherons Call 1: huge realistic world, lots of content and monthly content updates, fast paced combat, nice social system with allegiances

    - Shadowbane: closeknit player communities because of external pressure, intelligent enemies (pvp!), diplomacy/politics, roleplaying, town building, guild warfare, epic battles

    - SecondLife: incredible amount of freedom, world and items in the world built by players using 3D tools and a programming language, excellent mature community, only adults no kids, lots to explore, very creative, very social, complete absence of repetitive tasks

If you sign up to SecondLife entering "Anshe Chung" as referal adds you to my in game friendslist :-)

I would say Asheron's Call even though I have played tons of other MMOs it is by far the most unique.

I have tried pretty much every fantasy mmorpg and a few non fantasy and none can even remotely compare to EQ for me.  The rest have mostly just been poor attempts to capture the magic that EQ is loaded with.

I have enjoyed a few others and AC being the first I tried before moving on to EQ will always have a special place in my memories as well.
