Should i buy this game?

Hey, i kinda got bored of wow, so i would like to know if i should get this game.If so which class would be best damage and fun.If not,anyone know a good game that will keep me playing.

i would say try it, i'm playing and having real fun, although you might want a relative good computer, but most performance has been fixed, it's stable and so on, those who say otherwise have not played since open beta!



try it and see for your self.



about class, there are 19 classes, all different, so try a few different and see what you like

thats what i thought. but it hurt when I tried this game. Its a joke. No direction at all. No sense of story. Hideous grind. Still plenty bugged. NO PEOPLE TO PARTY WITH. Its a joke. In a few months youll see this on the 10 dollar shelf. And this is coming from somebody who isnt picky about games. Ive played FFXI, EQ2, L2, WoW, CoV, and LOTRO and enjoyed every single one of them. I like all games but this is just a waste. Play LOTRO. Its fresh, finished, and fun! : )

I found LoTRO a joke, booring, hardly any content, outplayed in a week, repetitive, booring, the only good thing about it is that it had a relative stable launch and few bugs, except what was it? 18 hours 3 times euro servers down?

since you have played both games. VG is better than Lotr?  Because i would like to play one of them.not really try both.

For me vanguard is a lot better, however that also depends on the person and what types of games are of their enjoyment. The only way for you to find out is really to try yourself, as all in all, all proper posts here is just our own opinions, I'd say go Vanguard, some will agree, some will disagree. The choice is yours entirely.

Nope, only two pet classes, that I am aware of are Shaman, and Necros. Druids get a dumbfire pet, I suppose.

VG is deeper, but less polished/complete. LotRO is plenty polished, and pretty bug free, but is as shallow as a puddle of piss.

there's no class called hunter in this game, however there are classes that can have pets, fully, or to some extent. None of the classes in Vanguard is really traditional, they all have something new to them and different playstyle, example: a healer does more than just heal and buff, they're on front dealing damage too!



edit: in addition to the classes above poster mentioned, a ranger can have a pet for a limited timeframe.

The main pet class is the necromancer.  I actually find the necromancer in Vanguard to be a very unique pet class - as you kill creatures, you can scavange their corpses to find bodyparts.  These parts can be added to your pet to augment them: find a new foot, new sinew, etc.

Shamen get a quest at level 15 to choose between bear, phoenix and wolf, which will allow them to either shapeshift into that or summon a pet, but not both at once.

Now that's hot; I did not know that.

Didn't really dig LoTRO.  To many quests, and I'm not a fan of the style of graphics. 

LoTRO is more WoWish.  Don't really know any other way to put it.

Complication

This game was the biggest waste of time and money.  I waited patiently for years for this crap to be released.  Every bad thing that people have said about this game is competely true.  and all the so called improvements to this game is total lies.   lags like a biznatch cause i dont have a super ultra mega computer, and i have the graphics turned down to pretty much nothing.

most cities are ghost towns and if you do find places with a few poor souls still playing they are grinding.  either the quest grind that follows no storyline at all and just leads you to some place that is just like the other cept the mobs are harder and the outpost or city has 1 more horse or camel in the stable then the last or doesnt have a broker haha.

 OR! you are doing the crafting grind from hell!!! do 19 billion work orders and you will get to lvl 10! and make absolutely nothing and get nothing but some chump change in return and an ass load of complications! HENCE MY NAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!  i wanted to love vanguard and become addicted to it like every other game i ever played, but sigil just didnt deliver what they promised.  i had so many complications during crafting that i literally started to lose my sanity. 

 groups do NOT exist unless you are in the right level range for the 3 or 4 key quest areas for whatever continent you're on.  if you arent the right level or in the right place forget it.  you will be alone forever unless you have buddies that play it with you.  

and i love the glitch in the game that changes your characters model you created into something random everytime you log in. LOVE IT!!!
