Heard some bad news from website  .

 

it seems this game will be died .   grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    no im afraid they will keep VG running even if theres 1 person left playing....i bet they would go as far as creating NPCs that act like players just to say VG is alive and well lol...

    Cant avoid the inevitable...VG will die

     I don't think it's going to die but I see some big changes coming for it in the near future. I know some love it like it is but it just can't stay like it is number wise.

    I don't think that VG will be dead anytime soon.  I just think that because of it's now-legendary botch of a release, it will never attain even a shadow of the popularity SOE and Brad were hoping for.  They missed their window of opportunity, a blunder they will never fully recover from.  Too bad, so sad.  Perhaps next time they'll pull their heads outta their collective arses and learn from their mistakes

    Whitout any links, statements like this is just stupid!

    Accually been thinking about rejoining but not sure due to serverpoulations. Want to play on a server that are atleast on medium pop. Are there any servers left that have healhy populations, or are most of them on low? Anyone that can provide a screenshot from the serverlist or anything else that can show server pop at EU primetime I would be greatful!

    I get a warning for trolling because I said in a post that Smedely sucks for making us wait 2 weeks for news on VG, but then some clown can make a dumbass post like this.

    I had a hampster die not long ago.  I keep him in the cage because as long as one person loves that rodent I refuse to let him go.

    Yes, server populations have been down for awhile. However there seems to be a lot of people coming back. Most of what people are saying about VG just isn’t true. Yes there are occasional drops to desktop for some. I've had two in the last week. But other than that things are looking good. Performance has been improved and most people get much better frame rates than they did at launch. My personal frame rate is up about 30%. I play on a modest computer on balanced settings. As far as in game stuff... there are more quests than a single toon can do, animations and art have been added and improved, and class balancing is pretty good. (clerics have had a bit to much love) Although server population isn’t that great now, being in a good guild means you won’t have to search for people to play with. Another fallacy about VG is that you can't solo to 50... this is a lie. Now is a good time to come back to the game and see for yourself. Flying mounts are working great on the test server and should be in game very soon.

    That, and I'm stuck leveling solo pretty much, I'll take whatever boost I can get.

    As for the whole IMBA thing, just bring everyone up to the level clerics are now. But, of course, Clerics will get nerfed, and as is always the way, they'll swing for the fences, and nerf them too far.

    It was born dead.  They may be able to keep a server up and running so that developers can practice maybe.

    Vanguard is far from dying and with SoE as publisher, they can do magic tricks to make it "half dead" to full life game. Take a look at Planetside, it nearly die once and came back to live again.



    I know flaming will start from this point but still.. its all about SoE and Sigil and thier precious : Vanguard.

    While SOE bailed Sigil out by picking up the publishing rights, SOE effectively killed the game by putting their logo on the game.  A sizable portion of their playerbase walked away at that moment expecting the exact situation that is now happening (terrible launch, SOE buyout).



    These two companies make dirty bedfellows for sure.

    Being totally objective the biggest mistake they made was the number of different starting areas and how far apart they are.

    I play on Frengrot and have started a number of toons on both pvp sides and sometimes there are so few players around that you just cant get a group.

    I made a lesser giant toon (shadow side) and had to move him from one continent to another, (from thestra to qalia) a process that took one hour of solid in game travel, to stand a better chance of finding other shadow toons.

    It goes without saying that many new players wont want to travel for hours to find groups and why should they?

    I play the game and am not a hater but surely any level headed fan of the game can recognise the impression this gives of the game to any new player.

    People will put up with bugs, any new game has them, but when you log on and cant get anyone to group with most will leave.

    I know changes are being made - riftways, more solo quests etc but its no wonder so many people have a bad impression of the game. I wont even go into factions and how they affect gameplay :)

    With SoE plumping in $$ once they take over ( i think most likely will be the outcome) VG wont be dead, in fact i look forward to it and hope this time the re-launch will truly work out.



     maybe they will even use VG graphic to upgrade their EQ2 games :)

    Speaking of the future......I can see VG going free. Would make sense. Doubt SoE will allow it.

    I say that abit tongue in cheek as my first alt is a lvl 21 Cleric and I have another Cleric on the FFA PVP server. perhaps i just don't want to get to use to the uber Cleric in anticipation of the inevitable nerf.
