Saw that game at ebgames for 5$, so i decided to give it a try. I don't really know if that's an MMO cause i didn't see anyone when i tried it, played an hour and uninstall. I really didn't get the point of the game lol. Now i know why they almost gave it to people..
Anyone who says World of Warcraft is just doing so for the image. Showing how much you hate the most widely played mmorpg does not make you "cool". Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of the game - however, I am sure it is far from the worst mmo you have ever played.
Agree, It is the mentality of many that to be unique or to feel superior they just trounce anything with popular success without regard to its merits. I am not a fan of WoW either but given their success it is hard to argue that it is anything but on of the best MMOs ever, certainly not one of the worst. Then i should post why do i hate wow:
- childish graphics
- they built it to be time consuming => more profit/month
- mostly played by 12 year old kidos or less
- worst community ever (look above)
- becouse its time consuming>addictive>ruined many players life (even family's life)
- though they are using some anti-hack protection that accidentaly made an industry for goldfarmers and they are using little kids to farm non-stop for almost nothing. And why do they do this? Becouse some little kiddo's arent satisfied with their current standing. All they just want to own as a 133t. And as long as they buy virtual currency, they will use that poor kids.
- it doesnt worth the money (just compute out how much money do you pay for this in a year and what could you done with that money)
i could continue it but i have to go to work now. C ya later.
I wouldn't presume to tell someone to love or hate a game, but the title of the thread is worst game not game you hate the most. Perhaps it is semantic hair splitting but I think a worst list should be a bit objective, as much as possible at least. Anyways, I agree and don't like WoW - I just find it hard to toss a game that has exceeded ten times over any other game's success as the worst of anything.

Please tell me you did this over a year ago, because if you bought it recently for $5 you really got ripped off since its been free for quite a while, 6-8 months minimum i believe.
Shadowbane was actually fun for awhile and had some great concepts like city building. The problem with Shadowbane besides the obvious bugs which were not fixable by Wolfpack was the duping which is still being done in the exact same way today in MMO's supposed to be new gen. To really enjoy Shadowbane though you had to be a pure pvper there wasn't pve worth mentioning and the vast majority of players who jumped in for a few days when there was a population that weren't prepared for a more hardcore version of pvp (compared to even DAoC but not quite UO) got rolled and quit before they even found out what the game was like.
Personally I miss games where you had to develope your character like Shadowbane and Asherons Call. These days most of the games barely have a difference between the same class of different races besides gear which eventually is the same too. Vanguard is really bad here since the only thing different between characters is a racial and a few points in attributes which make no difference compared to gear.
erm Dragonraja I think the name was. I was open to it despite it being free to play, but a game which has me clicking 2000 times in a row to level up a skill to pass a tutorial. Er, well no thanks.
Graphics/Interface: Cronous (looks and sounds like some of the arcade games I've played 8 years ago)
Gameplay: Gate to Heaven (to be honest I can hardly remember why. I tried to wipe the expererience from my mind but echo's of HORROR abstain)
Community/Support: Flyff (The 7 year olds believe since the game is free (3 years later some still think its too good to be true) they don't deserve a working functioning game free of bugs and exploits and flame you for not being gayily satisfied. And the corrupt GMs unbalance the game.)
The worst for me would have to be Dungeon Runners. A close 2nd would be 9Dragons. I really felt like I lost precious hours of my life while playing those games.
Eve Online and LOTRO are top on my list. Followed closely by DDO. I didn't finish the free month on any of those but at least with DDO I played for a couple weeks. Eve and LOTRO lasted roughly two hours tops.
Vanguard for sure. I found it a bland and boring cookie cutter. It looks impressive tho. and does have some amazing features. I truly loved falling thru the ground at irregular intervals. I love the mobs that can kil u from miles away.
So those are my reasons, valid to me and i have backed them up with reasons/examples. (hopefully i dont get banned for negatively writing about a game) totally agree, wow is almost child like in its simplicity, the infantile crafting, no guild support/ houses
quote: Most disappointing -- World of Warcraft. It's not the worst I've played, but it is without a doubt the most disappointing precisely because there's so much good there. What's still missing? Hero classes. Guild housing. Guild bank. Hell, any Guild support at all. Crafting that is too simplistic. That game 1-(current top level minus one) is one game, and then the max level game is nothing but Raid. That they set a new record for the amount of time since release to the launch of their FIRST expansion (over 2 years!!!).
Runner-up -- DDO. Any game that lacks a persistent world (in this case, outside the city) is not for me (which wipes GuildWars).
Most annoying -- WoW again. One word: community. If you like l33t-speak, you'll like WoW; otherwise, turn off general chat.
totally agree, wow is almost child like in its simplicity, the infantile crafting, no guild support/ houses, the terrible attempt at arena -omg two arena areas! wot a joke! the continuous character changing by Blizz, the unbalanced character classes... the list goes on

My god, was that game awful.

If Dark & light, Mourning or Roma Victor are not on the top of your list as the worst MMORPG you have ever played....
....You never played them.

Maple Story... Risk your life was pretty close but at least there is PvP there. (Completly unbalanced tho )

Seconded though, Irth Online.
Runescape
Voyage Century
Archlord
Last Chaos
Dungeon Runners
Cant decide on order but RS is hands down the worst pile o' crap - Steaming Sh%$
Runescape was the worst one I played until I played EVE online. I think the graphiX in RS was better than EVE online.

The Sims Online.
Well, actually i never played it, but just thinking about it gave me nightmares.

Eesh... I think I had blocked that one from my memory. Now I am going to have to scrub my brain with steelwool til it is gone again.
