"We've been in contact with Microsoft...," said Paul Sams, vice president of business operations at Blizzard. "World of Warcraft was really built with a focus on PC, and while I think it certainly could get to Xbox, it's not something that at this moment we've decided to do."
The incredible popularity of the developer's first stab into the populated MMO market with World of Warcraft has proved a unanimous success. As next-generation consoles advance online integration, the lack of a console version becomes all the more surprising.
Right now, Blizzard sees the lack of a keyboard and mouse holding back any console renditions of World of WarCraft. "Those are things that are not standard, they're peripherals, and peripherals have historically not done well for any of the console companies unless you're talking about additional controllers or memory cards," said Sams.
Seeing as how Square Enix overcame this problem with Final Fantasy XI on the PlayStation 2, World of Warcraft landing on Xbox 360 seems a question of "when" more than anything else.

If I recall there is already a post on this topic confirming it won't happen anytime soon if ever....reasons are outlined in the article itself.
"lack of a keyboard and mouse holding back any console renditions of World of WarCraft"
edit: i read somewhere that blizzard definately aren't doing it. shame.
yeah but you can get a keyboard+mouse on 360. IF they are gona send it over they could at least show some small brain power and do it promptly since right now there are no decent MMO's on 360 but soon thier will be AoC, pherhaps WAR, and huxley (if you count that as good). They should do it man! AoC 360 release is too far away, they'd at least suck 1 years subsciption out of MMO fans with no computers.
My blog:
Besides i doubt it would be populer if it was on consoles, you would have to pay for xbox live and the game, bit of a rip of when the game runs on basically every pc there is, as well as being 2 years old already. maybe if they bundled it with tbc it would do better. And they would need to buy a keyboard on top of that to play the game properly . Seems like a crap deal.

Masakari Out.
wow on xbox....LOL..i dont say anything more;p
Have you ever played a WII?
what has the world come too?......
but i have tried, and you can hook up a usb keyboard and mouse to the 360. and it would work. it would be different but it would work.
Yeah they won't do it due (not to the lack of keyboard) to "uselessness" because there are already so many ppl that play in PC so they wont do it for 360.
The lack of keyboard is such a lamme excuse because i remember that xbox360 will have many MMOs and already have Oblivion and stuff....WoW would be so easy to put in a controller -.- the critics of some nice sites already said that...and this ain't news...this is like from the last century =S
EDIT: lol look at the date: By Patrick Klepek, 06/14/2005........... xD this was 2 years ago ^^
Cheers

Console players make no sense. By the time you add a keyboard, mouse, larger hard disk and extra memory to your 360 so you can play an MMO, you could easily have gotten a fairly nice computer.
Computer graphics, put all consoles to shame.
