Turbine has hosted the game client in order to allow buddy key users to download the game client. Please note that this client does NOT have the high resolution textures or the in-game cut scenes found in the retail version of LOTRO (there's a reason the game client comes in 2 DVD disc). Plus this is to save you from downloading the 5GB game client that comes with the retail box. Other than that the game client functions perfectly well and is the same as the retail client.

thanks Lidd for the heads up. I just thought of something.

I installed my PRE-ORDER LoTRO Disk early April. I was wondering why I couldnt access the PLAYER MOVIES when creating a new toon on the selection screen. Even though I was playing in Pre-Order BETA, the main game itself did'nt fully install the cinematic features. On April 24th when the game went live I thought I got everything, apparently I did'nt.

I uninstalled my Pre-Order version and opened my Retail Disks and installed them. Believe it or not, I was missing parts of the game still.. LOL

With all this talk about hi res textures I was unsure if the Beta copy would have the same effect. Anyways, after I installed my Retail copy, the game is running much better on high graphics at no problem at all and I got all the cinema now.

So if you installed your LoTRO Pre-Order Disk (Founders), I would advise to remove it and re-install with the Retail Copy.
