Driver errors.

I can only play Second Life 20 minutes at a time now because that's how long it takes between driver errors. So I looked it up, and SL doesn't support Vista. DOESN'T SUPPORT VISTA? All I can conclude is that they don't want people with computers good enough to run the game playing it and, thus, don't want my money.

It is therefore unsurprising that when they hiked the price of an island to $1,650 today and upped rent to $295 per month, the news article I read said that Linden Labs is in the red and has no idea what the price hike will have on the real-estate market. Of course they don't know, of course they're in the red -- they incompetent.

It boggles my mind that these imbesciles can be losing money on a game in which people spend REAL MONEY for most everything they do.

Pitiful. I can't wait until a good virtual community comes out.

If you know of a fix for this driver crash problem, please e-mail me at bpharris9014@gmail.com

Thanks.

Actually alot of games and things dont support vista. Heck the Zune which is microsoft made didnt support vista. Its not that they dont want you to play its that if they just let it run on vista it would lag even more.

So I looked it up, and SL doesn't support Vista. DOESN'T SUPPORT VISTA? All I can conclude is that they don't want people with computers good enough to run the game playing it and, thus, don't want my money.

The first time this problem occured was in august 2006, after the first trail-release for vista. People (incl. me) were getting generic errors upon start-up. SL first said this was due to out-of-date drivers. But we all knew that was not the case. So i (and a lot of other people)posted a request for Linden corp to up-date their game to vista so even vista users could play.

After a month or so nothing had changed and i posted an angry reply saying the lost 1 client and if more people would follow my example, maybe we could force Linden Corp. into action. After that 1 got tied up in WoW and lost track of the discussion.

After another month or so i tried again. This time the thread was closed!! And al they had was a message saying they can't support a OS that is not for sale yet (this was about 2 months before the official release of Vista), although is was playing WoW and other games under Vista, no problem.)

So, they still haven't gotten round to finding a solution... great going Linden Corp, you lazy *&%&^^%$&^%..... You're only in it for the money, nothing else! Not even interested in getting new players, only dumping the old ones!
