Upgrade graphics card, lose fps :(

  As the title states, I upgraded from my 7900gtx which played VG:SoH pretty well, at about 40-60fps, to an 8800GTS.  Now every other game I have runs sooo much better, excpet for vanguard of course.  I get a higher overall fps now (constant 75) but every 2-3 seconds the game will freeze for a split second that makes the game, well unplayable.,

  So unfortunately I think I'm going to put Vanguard on hold for a few months.  Gonna see how the whole SoE thing turns out.  I just dl'd the EQ2 trial and it runs 3x as smooth as vanguard with every option maxed

I too have an 8800GTS. Although i can get the graphics heaps better then my old card, all the 8800's have an issue with VG. There is a new driver that increased my FPS a bit, have u tried that. You may also have turned everything up too high? But from what i have read the 8800's and VG dont mix too well atm.

I have the newest released drivers, and I am running the same settings I had with the 7900
