who liked healing with instruments? Does the color of the Lore-Master's and the Minstrel's armor get less or more girly when u get farther in the game?

    ps I beta'ed LOTRO

It is not healing as per se. It is restoring MORALE. And that is logical - songs inspire morale in fact! You do not have health or hit points in LOTRO.

This game has no substance so they better start opening more servers and cranking out expansions in a hurry or they are going to lose their grip on the playerbase.

You obviously haven't even played the BETA's of this game....

Heard about traits and optional quests ?

Those who rush to lvl 50 in weeks really have no RL, and don't grasp a single aspect about the idea of a ROLE playing MMO in Tolkien's world.

And that would be the statement of the day.  I feel sorry for the level 50s running around.  It seems some just don't get this game.  Perhaps a little harsh.  This isn't the game for some, yes, much better.

I think it is unquestionable that the people who use this site are more hardcore than the general MMO gaming audience. After all, casual players are not likely to bother to read tons of stuff on this site. They're just going to play their game for a few hours a week and that's all. Even within a game it is well established that only maybe 10-20% of the players read the game's own forum. How many less read an outside forum like this one? Add to that, most of the people who like the game can freely post on any game's own website, but people trying to bash it may well end up moderated there, so they have to come here.

The mix is, that you have all the hardcore people who hate a game, here... and all the hardcore people who like a game, are mainly at its own website. And the non-hardcore people are just playing their own game and ignoring all this. And so that's why, almost any game's forum here on MMORPG.COM, is filled with hate threads and flame-fests. There is no point to coming here for actual information about a game -- you won't find it. It's all just opinionated argument.

    No trolling..just a a reply to Chessack..

No `coming here for info..i just gotta know..then tell me where ppl can discuss a mmorpg so freely if not here..

I myself have found many a valid source of info here...but who knows, maybe i was on ecstacy ;)

Edit: doesnt do drugs btw ;)

It's mostly people who wish that these two facts weren't true that are bashing the game

They want to beat LOTRO down for not being 'deep' when it is simply a different type of game.  It's for people who would rather have an adventure then go play music or blow smoke rings than spend hour after hour in a raid instance.  I know they are implementing raids, but I do not expect them to take nearly as much time as many other games based on #2.

Are you talking about blizzard and wow? I teally guess so...

A living creature that has stopped evolving is not worth existing.

The two points the OP makes, albeit true, are exactly the reasons I love this game. You can keep your hardcore games, I play to have fun.
