Game developed slowed or stopped ?

Not much new stuff coming out about the game atm - was hoping beta would start soon but even no new vids have come for long time.

Last i herd, they have pooled all their resources to WAR and prettymuch put all other projects on the back burner(sigh 40k  see you in 2010). also they have been doing dev blogs wich is always a good sign and you can see some stuff they have been working on. I really doubt they would halt production on this. If so were doomed if only garbage like Lotro is the only crap that releases nowadays.

What's 40k have to do with anything? The 40k MMO has nothing to do with with Mythic. It's being developed by a completely different company.

really? thought mythic secured all the mmo IP rights for warhammer, eh news to me.

Nope, Vigil games is actually the developer for the 40k MMO and it will be published by THQ. Mythic only has the Warhammer Fantasy.



I think the information has slowed down a bit because Mythic is getting ready to advance past the Friends and Family Beta Phase. That mixed in with them going back over the first racial pairing to improve it's Warhammer feel doesn't really leave much in the way of new content to release to the public. A large portion of the game is also still under NDA. The May Newsletter should be coming out in 2 weeks, it will probably have quite a bit of information in it. Then we only have to wait one more month to find out what guilds made it into the Guild Beta.

If you are only reading the newsletters & WAR website then your missing a lot of stuff- We get a ton of stuff from conventions posted a lot of fan sites:

GAMEINFORMER magazine just wrote raving review about the progress of this game.

EA gave them bigger budget and kept their stupid hands off Mythics dev team and did not make any changes to managment.

It's one thing when a game gets pushed back and the devs just don't comment, but when you have a game get pushed back and the devs come out and say that their earlier work was 'good but not excellent', then you know they want the game to be of high quality. It's worth a few months delay to have a world that really fits the expectations of the fans and Games-workshop.

When I heard that the release date was pushed back to early 2008.



I was tempted to reactivate my WoW account.

i think they are taking there time so that they dont mess it up at all... they seem to be impementing alot of good ideas into the game, which shows they are reli thnking about that they r doing

From what i've seen its 5 randomly selected people a month for beta, atm.  Not sure about open beta though.
