Can my Desktop Handle it?

I got a 1g Memory (2 x 512 DDR2 800).

An EVGA GeForce 7600GS 512MB 128-bit PCIe Video Card.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ Windsor 2.8GHz 2 X 1mb L2 Cache Processor.

I know I can play on low requirements, but what i really want to know is if i can play on high if not highest settings before i buy the game.

Also I played Guild Wars and WoW before, and i didn't really like either of them. I was hoping if someone could also tell me if this game is somewhat in between the two. I'm mostly interested in Working with people, i hate soloing missions, and PvP. But i didn't like WoW's PvP where you could just walk into alliance territory gank someone and walk out, i prefer more organized PvP. Thanks so much everyone .

Yes, your system will certainly run LotRO quite nicely, with a lot of the graphic bells and whistles on, high settings, maybe even highest.

Many users of LotRO and other recent games are finding that it's not necessarily extra RAM or a $300 graphics card that makes the difference in how the game runs, but how good the busses are at getting data in and out of the GPU and CPU.  Your PCIe GeForce 7600GS will do it a lot better than my AGP 8x GeForce 7600GS, even tho I have more RAM than you, because the PCIe graphics bus moves the data better.  Chances are that your FSB is faster also.  However, I was able to run LotRO with good framerates through several months of Beta, including stress tests, even around lots of other players and NPCs, with a lot of the graphics settings high.

As for the PvP, I think that's still a work-in-progress in LotRO.

Although the low levels of LotRO, for any class, can be solo'd quite easily, you'll find other players willing to form a fellowship with you by the time you start the quests around Combe.

I hope you enjoy the game.  I, and many others, worked very hard in beta testing to help the developers get the game running smoothly long before the release date.  It was interesting and fun.  I have other beta tests going, and am not currently playing LotRO, but if I had more time, I'd certainly join you in Middle Earth.

in Lotro the endgame pvp, you can play from lvl 10

lvl 40+ you can move your toon to the ettenmoors and PvP, or you can log into a monster player, and level your lvl 50 monster, killing the lvl 40+ players.

the PvP is actually pretty fun, with cool rewards.

and yea, your computer should run on high, not the highest settings, but medium-high

As a note, to clean up what the poster before me said, Your golden. But I disagree, 1more gig of ram would make a world of difference.

Alright thanks for your input guys. I'm glad to know that i can run the game >.< . I remember awhile ago i bought battlefield 2142 and asked someone at Best Buy to see if my Latitude D510 could run it and the customer service guy said i was good to go. so i installed it and my terrible Dell couldn't even start up the darn thing . I learned that if i ever want good info on a game, forums are the way to go. Thanks guys, ill go out and buy it / sign up when i get some spare time.
