Originality of Lotre

I keep seeing comments how lord Of The Rings is a copy of wow and that  is not original at all …

And Every time I see a comment as such , I just smile and think to myself , this guy has discovered MMO gaming with World of Warcraft. And no way he played any game from previous era..

Firstly Lotre , game- play wise is pure copy Of Asheron call 2 which was also made by themselves turbine.

Open Area work the same , items style and colouring , quests ,trophy crafting for masters ,etc in fact its AC2 reborn in lotre world with Improved graphic …. And I don’t see why should not use the stuff and system they originally invented with ac and ac2… just Because games like WOW or EQ2 adopted it later on as well .

WoW riped everything from Turbine and some other games , and now people belive its original only because was one of the most successful ,also WOW took Graphic style from Warhamer , WHICH MADE WARHAMER VERY ANGRY AND ALMOST ended up suing them.

So where is Originality of Lotre ,,,,,

First its lotre world ,, there never was one MMO game in it.

2. Its very Clever The way it manage to include Players into main Story , but again also giving them their own personality and Direction in Middle earth …. Which does not contradict main plot……The idea is that we are one of those people that happen to be in the middle earth at the time , when events from the book happened ,for one instance :What if you were One of those people on the streets when Ringwrats burst into the bree , Or a man sitting  next table to Aragorn in the inn etc ,,, game very cleverly open the space for your own story …

3) Also ….Game has over 100s of traits ,like  class traits , race traits  etc and some very rare LEGENDARY ONEs .....Depending which one you equip you design the unique and individual character ..

So what’s trait ,, Depending on deeds and quest you ve done ,, you get those different traits that allow you to customise your characters. Those traits will give different bonuses to your stats,, like agility or regeneration in combat etc....

For an instance if you reached level 20 without getting killed you get trait something like hardy ,, that gives you more life points then anyone else etc.

4)  depending on which emotes you use the most with your character, you get stats of personality like , grumpy or sad  person etc....

5)Hope and Dread (I love those)

If you are in area like Angmar , or some spooky tombs etc ,, your dread grows and your hope (Moral) which is life point goes down,

In lotre Life is presented as moral, the Idea is the  more of it we have(life) , the harder(Longer) we will fight ( so that’s why our moral (LIFE)points grows if we are in safe areas , on in daylight etc ,,,,and  it goes down when we get scared or loose hope..

Some areas Like Angmar have very high dread effects and also some creatures can gives you fright

That’s why you will see that Lotre does not use healers and healing system like other games , In fact its totally original ,they are in fact moral boosters , supporters that by encouraging you raise your Moral (life points) to make you fight Longer .

Do you know how did they come up with it ,,,,

they seen it in peter Jackson’s film ...... like for an instance When fellowship  fights in Helms deep ,, they lost hope ,dread took them, and even Legolas thought they were going to die, but when Gandalf appeared on the hill with sunrise ... they suddenly felt a surge of energy and hope  running  out to face their enemies and  fight with renewed strength and hope ...

Jackson kept using dread and hope in trilogy all the time and game designers loved it , and implanted it in the game

So Again I say people who says its not original and that game sucks they barely played over level 12 or prolly did not even finish intro ,,, they did not , give it a chance nither did they understood the game ……

Some of them say ,, I played it in beta to level 30 and hated it ( so help me here , why did you play that long if you hated it ,, and second how did you play to level 30 in beta where  level cup was 15 .. again Lotre haters ………..

There are so many Original and  Fantastic ideas in Lotre that I could talk about , but you should  discover them  for yourself
