IS flyf a good game???

I'm am looking for a new mmo to play and my eyes set on this game Is it any good the graphics look okay from the screen shots. My computer is fast but I installed and down loaded Martial Heroes It was a total waste so now I uninstalled it. But I need to find a really good and fun game to play. Oh and you can fly on this Game???

Sure you can fly, but its sorta boring flying, there's only 3 flying enemies, and the flight combat sucks. The game otherwise? It's fun, in a repetitive, mind-numbing way, think of it as an exercise in meditation. You require very little concious thought to play, so try achieving enlightenment or something on the way.

- It’s Free.
- The in-game community is friendly. I was able to get free items from complete strangers and party up with people I have never met.
- When you party up with a team the game is fun to play.
- WSAD controls.
- You can get a flying broom or board once you hit level 20.
- The customization of the characters is decent.

Cons:
- All new players start out as the same class until they hit level 15. From level 1 to 15 it’s a repetitive grind to level up the character.
- Unlike World of Warcraft where the game offers baby-steps quest. The quest in Flyff requires you to be at least level 10.
- The music is somewhat mediocre.

The game lacks in important aspects that makes a game "enjoyable."

No offense to the person who posted this... but all of the PROS you listed, should be under CONS. In fact, nothing should be listed under Pros. Except for "cute" characters.

The free items that they gave you were probably just "junk" to them. Nobody gives free items. It's a greed-based game.

Having a broom and being able to fly is nothing... Fly for fun? More like Fly for Lag.

lag i palying it abour 5 month and dont ever haved lag. Check your computer and internet then say or it is lag...

yes you can fly, the game is decent... nothing great... but its not a bad time waster...



i get no lag on my comp so if you do then its because you either on a really full channel or bad intronets.



over all rating id give the game a 7-7.5/10

not great... but not bad either... but still way the hell better then WoW (damn over rated crappy game.)

I have experience no lag at all in the game.  Maybe there's an issue with your internet connection.



I have gotten free money and quest items from people.



You failed to list what aspect of the game you don't find Flyff enjoyable.

heh... when you said "mind numbing"i got kind of excited. FlyFF is a good waise of time and it is fun and pretty. you can play it hardcore and mash food buttons and spam skills or you can sit back and let your character PWN the monster. so yeah FlyFF is as good as it is bad and at 3 in the morning mind numbing is good... very good

The only lag I experienced in the game was on the Mia Server

Its a simple game and its satisfying enough to play in small bursts (1-2 hours).  There is alot of grinding, huge gear gaps on items of the same level, and massively inflated economy.

But if you are just looking for something to kill time with and enjoy some meaningless creature smashing this is a good game.

Hm flyff is not laggy at all for ppl who say it is..i mean mabye if you have a computer from 1998..haha but this game is very fun,yes its kinda a grind game but the community is very friendly and active.

GMs play ingame as real characters which makes it fun cause they may play with you.
Flying isnt actually the point in the game...even though the name of the game is FlyForFun its more like "FlyForTransportation" . It just helps you get there faster. Pvp is decent also and the classes after 60 are very cool i highly recommend this game.

I loaded the game up last night.  I do have a question myself.  When do you start getting quest?  I was dumped in the game with no idea what to do.  I agree other mmo's tend to hold your hand too much, but I feel like I was dropped on a deserted island.  And, after reading some forum post at the official forums, I was afraid to post for some help.  They tear into people without any just cause.

One quest  is given out at level 5 (Food NPC - Loyah). 



Most of the quest begins at level 7 (Quest Officer -  Mykyel).

I got a lvl 79 Billposter there.....i played that game so much XD

After some level is a little slow but its pretty nice.......





I never lagged in that game and i play in the oldest server(with more people too)

So.....





I would say: DOWNLOAD IT!!!! and try......you won't regret i think.... ^^





Note: try to invite some of your friends to come to play with you Flyff cuz with friends it gets even better

Hey JT,

Quests are available throughout the game from levels 5-120. I must agree that the game simply drops you in, i believe that flyff shouuld have a getter tutorial interface. Whilst not "Holding Your Hand" but just enough to get you started with the game basics and map options etc...

After about 3 weeks of playing the game commands become second nature likewise with any other game. If you are seriously considering playin may i advise visiting this website...

Hey Mate,

This is a very good MMO to get you started. It is fun and once you can use the interface very easy to play.  Whilst the game is called FLyForFun its mainly Fly For Transport it simply gets you around faster.  I would advise playing this game because it is easy to use, great fun and its Free

Actually I have mentioned why this game isn't worth playing. I just so happen to not have mentioned it in this thread. But if you have the time to browse through already HOT threads regarding this subject -- you will see that I have made several reasons why this game lacks in customer service from the GMs.

 

I have already contacted Gala.net about the lack of customer service, and do hope that they find some resolution to the problem. 

The game does lag up when everyone logs in at once to play. But you would have to be a long-time player to know this.

atleast you can play my client goes to patch 1/1 than when it's done a message pops up and tell you to restart the cleint it's killing me to wait i want to play!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i'm gettin mad
