Whats the PvP like? anything like DAoC?

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Is there a Reward system for pvp in  this game? or is there even Factions? Im finding the official web page to me more frustrating in getting info out of then it is even worth. Considering running away before i even start ha.

    Not currently.  You get coin and infamy when you kill another player that is within 20% of your level.

    More of a bragging rights at the moment.  It also adds another layer of freedom in a sandbox game; especially on the FFA server.  If you play on the Team server there are 2 factions.  Shadow and Order.  Depending on the race you play you fall into one of those two factions.  There was something posted on the official forums about wich races fall into wich faction, and that there was room to have another faction.

    Wish Darkfall would release.

    As far I am aware from playing most PvP MMORPG's DAOC level of PvP complexity, reward system and sheer fun are yet to be surpassed. Vanguard was supposed to be on the right track but nothing seems to happen other than braggin rights as the other guy posted.

    And if you are thinking about doing PvP in this game, research your class and find out which one is the best.  The class systems are terribly unbalanced (or atleast were a couple months back) making it incredibly frustrating if you choose a class that can hardly defend him/her self.

    A fundamental point I made and continue to press is that the game is different (it has changed) from several months ago.

    A fundamental point I made and continue to press is that the game is different (it has changed) from several months ago.  How is what I stated trolling?  Do you know what trolling is?  I was clearly trying to tell the person to research the class and choose accordingly. I do not care how balanced/unbalanced/broken a game is, I think this is good, relevant advice when going into PvP.  I added my experience with the game.  Healz4u, if you are a good representative of what the current community is like in Vanguard, I am glad no one else is playing.  It is like you want to keep the population down.

    Absolutely, I do.  It is you.  Or if you prefer a guy that does not play a game and patrols (trolls) the forums and seizes every opportunity to make a negative comment about the game. 





    I do not patrol (troll) LotR but I played and do NOT currently play that game.  I currently play Vanguard, and I find it difficult to enjoy the pleasure of MMORPG and its resources and community in the Vanguard forum because people like you who do NOT play the game keep posting inaccurate and negative comments about it.  You are saying the same things you said months ago.  Get a life, get a job, get a bf/gf, or most importantly for you, get a game so you can comment about games you do play.
