ill tell about this a little at a time

1) a second inventory will be added just for implaints

2) implaints can not be added or removed by players...(unless a implaint skill is added) you will have to pay to get them added or removed.

3) a humanity stat will be added ....your humanity stat will effect your magic and other skills....the more implaints you hae the less humanity you have...the less humanit you have the less mana you have for magic

Question: will Implants modify the look of players, and if so, will it be texture only, or will there be texture and model changes?

implaints will be inside the player....that is why it is called a implant(meaning put inside)

implants are not Cybrog body part replacements

ahh so they are going to function like rings and necklaces and the like? cept you cant take em on or off whenever you want

yes...that is the idea

the big difference is it will effect humanity.....so there is a draw back to having them...some skills will be effected by humanity.

different items will effect the humanity differently.....so even if you are a magic user...you could have implants that do not effect your humanity that much....there could be a advatage in it.

Ur Bio rating... or biological rating....

er.. hmm.. its a toughy....

you could always switch it.. call it a TECH rating... the more TECH the higher ur rating and the lower ur mana...

i'll probably go that way... seeing as triderians are a melee race and wont be that good at magic anyway i may aswell just go for tech

tho i may start a new charater for the purpose of having a pure magic caster aswell.. still thats a while off yet

when magic is in...il probably be a mage of some sort....

but now with the tech and all im not so sure....i can be a crappy mage with alot of implants

the way i see it, the best people for implants would be Paladrones, as they are the smartest, and therefore should be able to get tech points easier (no?) so you will prolly have high level Magic Paladrones, and high level Tech ones, but never both. As for Triderians, be good once they have the tech implants, but it will be a pain to achive the level required for them

or will all races be able to get tech points as easily as each other? i dont think they should, i always viewd Triderians as almost animal like in IQ :P

tech skill and implants are to different things..

tech will be the ability to use tech items and how good you use them. (i do see paladrones excelling in Tech stat faster then other races...but this is only for external tech items)

with implants there will be a separate stat and it will be a bad thing to have points in this stat....in a way.

there are going to be major draw backs to large amounts of implants but there will also be advantages as well for some types of players.

ok, then you should have a high tech skill to put them in, or remove them, so anyone of sufficient level (or implant skill, if there is one) can use em, but you need a high tech skill to put em in (someone else can put in the implant for you)

i think...that adding and removing them will be by NPC only and they will charge for doing it......ill have a storyline about how someone was a prisoner of the void and was made to be a slave to add implants to the minnions.....and then he escaped and will now do it for players.

Are implants going to be a whole new set of items or just a simple progression like Attack Implant Lesser, Attack Implant Greater, etc.? As in, will there be very rare drop only implants that are expensive to put it, but have large boosts, or boost "rare" stats like HP Delay and such?

He's a brilliant fantasy author, mostly known for The Belgariad and the sequal series The Mallorean, which are two of the best sets of fantasy novels ever written. He's also done the Tamuli and Elenium series.

Yup thats him. He gave me the riven codex, but its was a bit heavy haha, i never finished it but will one day. Its cool because all the practices in it are based on real pagan practices, and the storys are so well written you could believe that you were there. I have trouble putting a book of his down when i start reading it. (bar half of the rivan codex)

I understand that "Humanity" is not appropriate, so how about Spirit.  All the races should have that type of rating.
