Oh yeh and seeing as this thread is for the good of the gaming world, please add some details about the game e.g. download time, gameplay graphics etc.
I agree with Rappelz, it has a fairly good community, and they do a decant job of stopping the bots. The gameplay itself is very close to Linage 2 and is point and click so if this is a turn off I would stay away from the game. The item shop was, done tasteful the last time I played offering worthwhile additions that people are likely to buy without requiring you to purchase anything to play the game, as well as not entirely ruining the in game economy.
The game is still fairly new, and I think new content is still being added. The last time I played the final class change was not implemented yet, so you ended up with all your skills maxed and no where to be points **note it has been a while since I've played and this may have changed.
I've played pretty much every major market free-mmo item shop or otherwise on the market and I think out of all of them Rappelz felt the most complete, graphics are solid, gameplay is solid, community is better then most other games in the same market sector other then AO.
In conclusion a solid showing thats been done before. you can spend a good deal of time on this game, and there are more similarities then differences between Rappelz and Linage II.
EDIT: Recommended specs for this game are and it weighs in around 600 meg as a download.
Processor: P4 2gig or higher, Video Card: 128 megabytes or better of memory, Ram: 1 gig, Direct X 9.0c

Rappelz is now at Epic 3, the install file now weights 1,3 Gb.
The next game update, Epic 4, is coming early June (in about 2-3 weeks). Some parts of the Epic 4 update, like guild alliances, have been patched in already. The 2nd profession changes, as well as other things like new areas, is coming with the full Epic 4 in June.
best free MMO for me would be Guild wars. a really good game.
Well, Guild Wars is not really an mmo, it's a multi player game. It's a zoning game where everything outside the cities is instanced. I prefer open/seamless worlds.
I play mmo's for the community and I like seeing and meeting people wherever I go. In Guild Wars you can meet the players in the cities, but once you leave the cities you are alone with your party. I have purchased the game thinking it was an mmorpg and stopped playing after a few days at lvl 17. I just miss the mmo feeling in this game.
But of course, for those who like the genre, it's a nice and polished game.

Runescape, for the clan wars it has and the well done quests.

Rappelz is a great free game and I do think the new class change is in now.

Shadowbane doesnt have a free trial its free to play now, I think
Rappelz is a very good ftp game, though at high levels the free part translates into needing items from an item shop..
Still by far the best free MMO ive yet played.
MMO wish list:
-Changeable worlds
-Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads
