I had the game, after my guy stands there getting punched in the face by a #@$#@ centipede I stopped playing.

Just couldnt stand a game where your guy just sits there and gets punched by a centipede.

Guild wars is not a solo game. Some grinding involved but you need get into a guild/group of players to fully get the feel of GW.

YOu can do it solo. I ran to GW nightfall beta in a weekend wihtout playing too much. But the game isnot about level its all about pvp and tactics. You need leanr by guild mates how to handle situations and such... and once you enter the throne room for example , it s worth it.

Have no fear, Xru is here.

guild wars is about the pvp... The pve is obviously not to par compared to any decent console ones or even other mmorpgs... Anyways, I'm hoping you got Nightfall also, because atleast this way, right now, your dervish and paragon aren't gimped because you have all of the skills for those classes. I found the pvp enjoyable for awhile... However, once I unlocked all of the skills and made all of the viable builds I could think of and played in pvp (generally just random arenas...note- not a big fan of a "TOO Competitive" game, so that's why I never played those guild fights, nor joined a guild, because they're so annoying and demanding to me...)... I just got bored eventually... And the more pvp you play, you'll realize the more flawed the pvp system is too (Arenanet admitted, GW didn't turn out as well as they wanted... Although, they didn't exactly specify which parts exactly... I find the enchantment/hex and enchantment/hex removals, a flawed part of the game, considering stuff like the elementalist being completely useless without enchants).

The only complaint I have about GW's PvE is the huge amount of mobs. Every 5 steps a new group of mobs apears for you to kill. If you're travling to a certain destination, it gets old pretty fast for me.
