I had my computer break down and I didn't play for about 3 weeks.
So now that I'm back. It seems boring as hell. The daily quests keep my on for about an hour a day. Mosly I'm thinking "Good Lord this is boring."
I wish they would make single player instances, something like Oblivion, and then add more low lvl quests. I've started alt's but you end up doing the same damn things you've done before. It would be nice if I could reach lvl 60 doing quests that i've never done before, instead of the same 30 quests I've done in the barrens again and again.

On the EU forum there's a lot of suggestions about this, especially regarding pre-TBC end-game instances for lvl 70 players, instances like BRD and Scholo. Player comments are often like "the load on the servers would be too high" and "why play solo in a MMORPG?", but I have never seen any blue (Blizzard employee) comment it.
Well, you didn't completely lose interest for it, this is the WoW forum, you know?
I had played Warcraft in all its incarnations and couldn't wait to play WOW, to begin with I was very happy with the game, other players, my guild.
I felt that Blizz changed the plot from Alliance/Horde against the scourge- to Alliance at war with the Horde and PVP to meet the expectations of players comming from other games. Still I contiunued and my list of in game friends grew.
I had that "what do I do now" feeling for a while after I got my lvl 40 Mount, but got over it.
Then I hit lvl 60- Brick Wall for me- I did the usual instances but the game had kinda come to an end- so I levelled 2 more toons to 60.
At which point I too had to admit the game had become pointless for me, alot of my original friends had quit and the guild was full of players I didnt know so well anymore. Maybe those of us who followed this similar path, just grew up!
I'm looking for the next WOW, but havent found it- sadly the old Wow just doesn't press the right buttons for a whole bunch of vet players now.
I dont play Wow anymore, but miss the experience of early Wow alot !
Cheeky cut n' paste here from my post in a similar thread:
It's perfectly fine to be bored of MMOs. I'll get bored of WoW eventually, maybe - if another MMO comes out with controls that are as fluid and fun. No MMO will hold your interest forever. For every MMO there are identical posts to yours. The problem isn't WoW, the problem is people.
I had grown tired of EQ as soon as I cleaned out a couple of expansions, what kept me in game was my guild. The trick most MMOs employ is to combine the addictiveness of progression based RPGs with the addictiveness of chat rooms. Remember news articles with people being addicted to IRC? I'm sure I could Google up some.
Anyway, what is my point? My point is that most MMOs are bad games in terms of raw gameplay - relying on repetition always - show me an MMO and I'll show you repetition. WoW's saving grace is that it was designed by a games company that understood fluidity of control and what's fun, but that fun doesnt' last forever. Sooner or later your brain isn't impressed by a shiny new item and doesn't want to clear out yet another instance.
I have a feeling that some people will never be happy with any MMO. It's very possible that if you're not content with any of the MMOs out now, you never will be - for any noticeable amount of time.
Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting...
Or better yet try LoTRO. I totally forgot about WoW after playing it for only a couple of hours.
Some people say there clones but those people are sorely mistaken.

2. Single player instances would basically ruin what Blizzard has in mind of WoW. The instances require 5 - 40 people because Blizzard wants to balance the game for groups. If you want Oblivion style gameplay play a 1-player RPG.
3. Quests are fixed so that players all have the same difficulty leveling up. Tired of quest grind? Roll a Mage or Paladin and AoE grind. I did it with a Paladin and it was pretty fun until the 50s.

I have been playing wow for over 2 years now.
But if it's all you play, thin you will get burned out just like any game. Play some of the free mmorpg games. They make you see how bad it can be.
If you're tired of WoW, I recommend trying a new game. In EQ2 there are instances which can be soloed. The game is a lot bigger than WoW after 3 expansions (with a 4th coming in november). They update the game regularly with free content and have relatively cheap "adventure packs", which is small expansions. Splitpaw Saga for example is an adventure pack with a lot of soloable content. If you haven't already, give EQ2 a try.
