Beat Back the Bots
I don't know if this is starting to happen in general on different servers, but I know that around Orc Village on the Devianne server, the players have started a revolt against the bots. They have regularly been organizing bot hunting parties. And, to be even a bit more efficient, they have been bringing res scrolls with them.
So, the scenario plays out like this: Large group of players 20+ gather for bot hunting. Someone bring res scrolls. They locate a bot and kill it. Someone res's the bot on the spot. They kill it again. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
Fun. Fun. Fun.

Sounds to me like you were killing innocent non-english speaking people. If it was a bot you couldn't have rezzed the character. You need to be in a group with the character to rez, and bots don't accept group invitations.

lol thats awesome! The only drawback is that you have to make sure no one kills ya as you'll be red. But it does sound rather nice to kill raise kill raise kill raise kill raise until they hit lvl 5.

Let's pause for a moment to examine these "innocent people:"
1. They are players who are of Chinese origin, playing on a North American and European server, ostensibly, an English speaking server, and yet I know more chinese from the local resteraunt menu, than the amount of English these 'innocents' can speak.
2. I see them in game, whenever I log on. Anytime. 24/7 - doesn't matter. And, these folks are in a time zone 12-13 hours different. So, evidently, China has a large 'innocent' 3rd shift work force that enjoys playing MMORPGs in the early hours of the morning (that would put them online the same time as me when I get home from work in the evening).
3. These 'innocents,' as a group, do not like challenges. Instead, they like to get a minimum of D-class items and run around in low level starter areas to hunt MOBs.
4. These 'innocents' are 'smooth operators.' They seem to move smoothly ans seamlessly, never pausing. They go from nearest MOB to nearest MOB, regardless of who may be attacking the next target, like they never knew the person was even there. Then, miraculously, when someone mentions the word petition in local chat, they suddenly slow down, act more erratically, suddenly respect MOBs that others have attacked, and utter a couple of words of English: "gun sleep fart."
5. Sometimes, when these 'innocents' aren't in 'smooth operator' mode, they just get consistently careless. For example, when I am lvl 17 and fighting a lvl 15 or 16 money quest MOB, and taking a righteous beating in the process, the 'innocents' sit back and watch. Then, for some reason, just as the MOB finally gets close to death, they accidently shoot the killshot that takes the MOB down and gets credit for the quest item (works on kasha bears). And, the innocents then accidently do it again with my next MOB, until they finally get bored and move on when I have to rest....
Yep, I agree, they're innocent: about as innocent as the girl who tells you she's a virgin in the bedroom at the whorehouse....

The only problem with PvP in this game is the loss of exp
sure, I would try and fight bots all the time if I didn't loose exp and occasionaly items when i died!

These innocent people arent as innocent as you assume they are.
Personally, chinese or not, I never have seen an innocent person play Lineage 2 for 72 straight hours in the same pattern before.

I guess one thing you don't seem to realize about alot of these chinese people is that they arn't just 1 person. Its a company of people who farm adena to sell on ebay and make money. They do this because they can make alot more money selling adena to americans on Ebay than they do with their jobs in china. There are a few people running one account. Thats why you see them on 24/7 and thats why they don't speak much English. Are you racist, don't you like people who speak english?
The reason they are fighting lower level monsters is there is more money to be made doing this. It takes too long to kill higher level monsters, they do more damage to you and don't drop enough gold. So its not worth it, this is typical of any smart player who wants to make money quickly. Is that a problem? They have as much right to be there as you do. They don't like challenges because there is no money to be made fighting you or higher level mobs. So again it goes back to them making money so they can feed their families. You seem to have a problem with this...
As far as the never pausing part I've learned to do that too. Before your done with the mob your on. Select the next one, when your current target dies pick up the loot and move right to the next mob. Its not a very complex idea. Of course when they think that your going to petition them because you "think" they are a bot they will try to make you think they arn't. If they get petitioned and their account is shut down then their business is shut down aswell.
As for the killing of your quest mobs, that sucks for you. I don't have people that do it to me. And I fight around alot of these chinese people. I have never had any problems with them. They leave me alone and I leave them alone. There are enough mobs for us in the area so I don't see the point of getting upset about them taking a mob that I was going to attack.
And once again you can't rez a bot. They don't join groups. I'm in all likelyhood your killing people who are doing this for a business. If your racist or something and want to kill them because they arn't american or whatever, thats your business. Or if your greedy or whatever and want the mobs for yourself... Well whatever man, people like you really make us look bad man.

Bach to the subject. I really can't agree with you killing these people simply on the gounds of you thinking they are bots, or that you don't like them for some reason. If you have had problems with them for some reason like they are being a jerk or something then that is another matter. Anyway, if I put myself in your shoes then I guess I can see where your coming from.

I kill them or grief them to log off. NOt because they are chinese. I've met ncie chines in L2. I kill BOTS! I don't give a shit if they earn money or not.
If they KS me all the time and loot my adena and drops they ruin my gaming experience. That's why i kil them. There's very creative ways to kill a bot. No need to go red all the time.
If they'd be american i kill american bots. Makes no difference at all.

The person you were referring to in CoH was recently banned from mmorpg (it had nothing to do with games or bad/good reviews of games....he was banned for other things).
Chances are you heard it from Zephen....or the one with the Papa Smurf Icon or Madmax (they were all the same guy).
