NeopsychNeopsych Member UncommonPosts: 324

I saw a reference to this in another forum and gave it a try.

It was good fun (and helped me spend some time during a patch dowload.

Give it a go..( I was an EASK btw)

It's an interesting test.  got explorer, killer/socilizer(a tie), and achiever(at a whole 5%).  really no surprises.

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

I'm not a big fan of this test.  In game my play style varies a lot.  A lot of the time I will explore solo which was my highest ranking, but the things I do are somewhat speratic depending on what I'm doing and how I'm feeling at the time.

    Achiever 60.00%, Explorer 93.33%, Killer 6.67%, Socializer 40.00%

EASK players often live by the phrase 'The journey is often more enjoyable than the destination.' They are motivated by meeting the challenges of the world, but they are usually in no rush--because seeing the creatures and places of the world is even more fun.

    Nice site, my results,

Based on your answers, you are KESA.

    Breakdown: Achiever 0.00%, Explorer 66.67%, Killer 93.33%, Socializer 40.00%

KESA players are often individuals who like to feel immersed in a virtual worlds and see themselves as a great villain or crusader within that world. They seek out challenges against other players, but they are going to find all the areas of that world. They'll often know about the best hiding places and ambush points.

This test was very narrow in scope.  The questions that obviously lean toward an achiever are based on questions about what phat loot you would want and the experience points you would want to gain.  There is nothing that gets at the heart of achievement.  For this reason I scored low in the area though I would love to be able to really accomplish something in a game by furthering cooperative goals that I and the people I associate with work towards.  Goals like starting up a well respected trade organization or mercenary protection service.  Establishing and maintaining a frontier town against all odds and dangers.  Successfully organizing a well attended competition or event in the game world that brings much profit and satisfaction.  These are the types of things that an achiever could really get into.  It is too bad most MMO designs put them in the box of getting loot and xp.

    KSEA
players often seek out PVP in a game, but they are looking to socialize with and form alliances with other players who are interested in doing the same. They often seek out guilds or clans that organize formal PVP events, or work on group strategies and tactics.

I have taken that one before. I was AESK then, and I got the same result this time. I think I would have scored higher on "K" if they hadn't pitted Killer traits against Achiever traits so often.

I have to agree that it was a bit narrow, but not so much as you're suggesting. The activities you list would probably fit best under the "Socializer" category, which I'm willing to bet you scored very high in.

I ended up with EASK, with the first three VERY high and the K almost 0. I'd say it's pretty accurate. Typically, I have no interest in PvP unless it involves some further goal (such as defending a town) and I prefer to avoid it as much as possible. The way they describe "Killer" playstyles implies bloodthirsty murdering backstabbers, which I felt was very stereotypical and not very fair.

KAES players tends to enjoy the PVP aspect most of all, but also likes to pit themself against all the challenges of the PVE environment as well--although the latter is often a means to an end. This type of player will often enjoy PVP that focuses on their skill as an individual contributor (duels, and so forth) more than team-based PVP.

    SEAK
players are usually very interested in the the 'total experience' of a virtual world--meeting other people and finding the unique places within it. They don't care much for PVP or levelling, but meeting up with online friends to see new parts of the world is usually fun and exciting.

Yeah, test resembles more or less the way I tend to play MMOs, even if questions were somewhat limiting.

    LoL, I love that part.

cool way to kill some time

    Breakdown: Achiever 33.33%, Explorer 46.67%, Killer 60.00%, Socializer 60.00%

SKEA players enjoy teamwork and cooperation, but feel that the main challenges of a virtual world come from the other players rather than the environment. They enjoy forming groups and alliances that will pit themselves against other players--and they gain the most satisfaction when they defeat organized groups of other players. When they aren't playing against other players, they enjoy all of the social aspects of the game.
