I think the game has gotten so much better. Im a old vet that just returned and I think what would make the game even better is 2 new servers where players can not transfer old toons 2 . I mean brand new start from scratch no broke down economy. the Vets that have sayed have broke the economy no fault of there own. But it happened so I added a poll to this post to see what others think.

They first have to work out the very light servers, maybe merge them all into one that would stay heavy.
Then when the current servers are more equal in terms of numbers they should create 2 new servers one for USA and the other for EU.
I would defenetly join the Euro one, as it would be great to have lots of people on the same level, and it would remind me of the great time I had in Eclipse and later in Chimaera when they where brand new servers
I don't know, I voted yes, I would probably like to try starting over in Galaxies on a brand new server, but the more I think about it, I'm not sure it's really needed.
Most of the credit duplication that I remember resulted in banning of accounts involved. The weapons that were once double sliced from duplicated krayt scale weapons (etc) have all been normalized patch after patch so that now there isn't that huge of a difference in the weapons (as far as I know).
The only thing that might change is the economy. It would truly be an interesting experiment to see how different, if at all, the economy would be on the new server(s).
It's not beyond SOE to start a new server with a specific goal, like what they did with EQ, so it could happen.
so...
I think this wouldn't really do much, other than make some people think things will be better since they now have the chance to be holding most of the credits and getting the items they want before others. To get away from this, go to a low population server where you won't have as much demand/competition. You can start out and get 100k credits a whole lot easier than what you used to and the money sinks aren't as bad so I think credits would have to be made harder to come by anyway. To do this now just hurts the new players, so overall it seems fine to me. It's all about supply and demand and if you don't have the creds like others than you just can't get the items you want right away.
Basically, there are others out there that don't have much money either and are more interested in selling items than those that have been around awhile. You might not get the best items, but you should be able to find something in a lower price range as long as it's not the big new thing like an incubator right now. Things usually boil down to a caste like system in time. A fix really requires keeping a stream of new players or a better balance on consumables.
SWG - Starsider (retired?)
EQ2 - Oasis
LotRO - Vilya
I am also a returning Vet, played since July 3 2003. PLayed about 5 months after the CU, I just started playing again about 2 weeks ago on Bloodfin, and Ive got to say I love SWG still. Of course its not what I started with but it is still plenty of fun. Anyway I voted no, I just dont see the use of this. With the limited number of players as it is a new server would just be a waste of money for SOE and pretty much make all cities a ghost town.

Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7
was the best skill based game i ever played , miss being a MBH
I would love a new server. I think, if they merged servers to 1/2 the current amount, then opened 2 new ones, pre-NGE and post NGE alot of new players and old veterans would come back.
I know the PRE-NGE server idea is a dream that wont come true, however a new server would be alot of fun, they just have to merge the ones that are low pop.
So cut the current total to 1/2 +1 the 1 being a fresh server.
