I happen to have read you posting that a certain game looks pretty good, you did include a warning but i can tell you 100% that the game sucks. You are not a all seeing, all knowing being. While i believe you would admit this , you don't act like it. See WAR might be good and what Paul is saying may be true. There are always two sides to a story, sure he is hyping ... but his hype may be a reality... after all no mmo in dev. is showing as much as WAR is. What Paul was saying maybe at least somewhat true, if he was flat out tellign lies we would most likely know because it would be visable in the overflowing amount of real in-game videos on the web.

Perhaps you have never been in a Games Workshop before, but the people in such a shop, usually overflow of energy and enthousiasm about the game they play, however often they play it or have to repeat their stories. I disagree . I think that Paul is trying to and being encouraged to appeal to the widest possible audience. The reason watch his vids GWS followers don't need to be told what Warhammer is yet he goes on and on about this ... why because there are a lot of people who don't know. Still it confirms the "setting" for long time Warhammer followers.
When they make a commercial for the game he should narrate it Seriously. Not much video of him maybe a bit, but him narrating it and a webpage post and the home page should stright up have a link to him and his vids just talking about the game (made for release, ie no nda , done well done Paul Barrnet style).

I hope that WAR lives up to what Paul Barnett is hyping it to be. One thing I do like is that in his talks, he does point out the bad stuff of MMOs, like grinding, healing only classes, and such. And I agree with his perceptions and opinions and of what direction WAR is taking with it. He does seem genuine and makes WAR sound very compelling.
However, I respect where SonofSeth is coming from. Paul IS a good PR guy, but the proof should be judged by the actual product, not by his words alone. Only by actually playing the game for a bit are we going to look back and think Paul was a good guy who simply explained how things really are.... or that Paul was a guy that was just very good at blowing smoke up our rears.
