this is very interesting indeed. I also have never seen this before, and I had all but given up on the whole computer thing untill I realized no one confirmed yet. .. twice.

It would be a huge upgrade for me. Still playing on an oldie.

EDIT: Just checked the specs, and it would be like 10 times faster then my current computer.. It would be great having it, so I can finally play some good games on my OWN computer instead of going to my friends and playing there like I did with LotRO...

i actually live near where they would assemble and send the computer. Ibuypower has some good prices so even if you dont win you can always purchase one for less than a 1000$, i know its still a lot but its the shipping and handling which usually spikes up the price next to the video card.

Thankfully I can pick stuff up from them therefore saving anyone on the minimum $80 shipping fee.

1000 dollar..  That will take me like 2 years (including my birthday money) Not to forget school costs me 200 dollars each month.

It's a sad day when the winner of the contest lives less than an hour away from me!  Damn Minnesotans!

How about the thirth guy? Did he notice yet?

Why's everyone from the US by the way, isn't it possible to win when you live outside of the US?

haha less that 1000. Its a good computer, do not doubt, but the expensive parts to that PC are found in the Ram, the painted case (the unpainted one is cheap) and windows. Basically, if you wanted the same computer you could order dual AMD set up, same case without the logo, and a better video card for about 500-600$  Get the ram off newegg.com and you are set.

Again, for needy people, partially like myself. Its a good set up, but I not believe it was anywhere close the computer givaway before this one. This one has the 7600GS videocard right? Its outdated now due to the fact that come this winter the 9000 series will be released. The "5" and "6" used in the name refers to the card type. 5 and 6 are low end models (7600gs, 8500gtx) where as the 8&9 are the high end models. (8800gtx, 7800). With age of conan on the horizon I think we need those directx 10 cards, which are found in the 8000 series.

Anyways still a good PC but about 600$ worth. Good deal if youget it free, if not its still a good price for the system if you so choose to buy it. I think thats partially what Ibuypower was hoping.

Ibuypower.com is located in Los Angeles. If they ship to someone else in the state of california it costs $80 for shipping. From what I also know, Ibuypower usually offers their specials to only 48 US states. Its possible to ship outside, but Im not sure they deem it worth it.

Do you know on what site I can get a computer like that for 500 to 600 dollar?

ibuypower.com. Dont get the windows vista, order the ram from newegg.com, get a non painted case, pick one of the setups that gives you the free liquid cooling. Bam 620$. Obviously this doesnt include shipping. My price range was a generalization depending on what you get in the system itself. Its often best to a cheaper part and upgrade it with something from newegg.com

Or you can go to newegg.com and build your pc for even cheaper by buying the parts seperately.

These contests are great, but Ibuypower is good too for offering affordable systems like the one in the contests as well.

It doesn't say in the contest rules that participants have to live in america. And winners are drawn randomly. The reason the random generator appears racist is probably because most the people on these forums are american.

Anybody outside of america ever won anything here?

Also, MMORPG.com already have the computer don't they? I don't think you'd have to pay shipping fees would you?

It says not to contact ibuypower, 'cause they just supplied the rig or something.

    EDIT:

    Disregard that.

"Any taxes, duty or extra fees are the responsibility of the winner. All prizes are awarded "AS IS" and without warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, except as provided by the manufacturer. In the event a prize is not available CCI will replace it with another prize of equal or greater value. "

Yes, I have won something here and it was shipped all the way over here to Germany.

However, it took like 3 months until it was here. ^^

It´s just luck whether you win something or not.

I don´t think it´s anything else than purely random.
