Just thought I would put in an update on this post. My new computer arrived the other day, and I just got vanguard. I ran the game on high settings for about 3 hours, got none of those crashes people are talking about, very little lag, most of the time its smooth as ice? ...when I open doors is when it usually lags a little bit and one of the docks disapeared on me..so it appeared i was walking on water! But other then that the game runs great.
Original Post:
Hey everyone, i've been thinking about giving vanguard a try, and I ordered a new comp last week...and after seeing all the reviews, it made me wonder if this comp is going to be strong enough to run the game at something better then medium settings =/

You'll save yourself alot of time. I have a similar setup but I have the GTX and XP. Most with Vista crash to desktop as you will read. I know this cause 4 guys in our guild run vista and crash all night long. Also there is a problem with the 8800GTX card (as you will read). Don't know about the GTS.
If you building this machine for this game get a couple of 7950s and an OEM version of xp. Many in our guild run these without a problem and get better performance (with this game).
Here's another thread about vista in VG

No computer at the moment can run Vanguard at max settings without suffering poor performance and that is a fact whether you absolutely love the game or hate it (somewhat high ...yes. Max? No). I would recommend looking at the tech forums in Silky Venom. They have tones of answers that will go to this.
I have a quad core, 4 gig ram, 2 8800 GTX video cards and can run it at above quality quality settings without the FPS dropping like the Titanic.
No one can run it at max settings.... i mean you can but then again your FPS will be so bad itt wont be worth it
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
