How long has this game been in development? Years. Just think about how outdated the graphics must look if they are that old.. I hope they update their graphics before the game is released, or it will look like crap.
from those screenshots.. the GFX seems nice enough for me to play the game..
Im not a big WOW fan but i enjoyed it to begin with aswell.. i didnt stop WOW after release because of gfx but because of the game it self ! you should stop wonder too much about the gfx. aslong as it works better than the VanGuard! tbh. its not only about look but how well the game run.. and if it require a super computer to run it (HI VANGUARD) . Most of all.. i wanna play a game with good content.. the GFX is 2nd.. (mby 3rd)
I read in some developer interview they are re-polishing the graphics, although in my own opinion Game play is a much more important factor than graphics. Plus they have implementation such as battle wounds and armor nicks, and light effects on armor that is in contact with the sun, and some other cool things i think.
Just a note: That screen shot was taken by a computer with a "lower end" graphics card. What this exactly means I dont know, but graphics are the LEAST of my concerns.

Currently in the Beta/Trial Client of the game they have optimized the default settings to the GeForce 4.
And these are one year old screenshots DF graphics is our least problem.
EXACTLY! Don't worry about the graphics the game is suppose to be all about gameplay and freedom. It will look fine I'm sure. That is if the game isn't vaporware.

I dont care about the graphics as long as gameplay is good.

darkfall graphics look outdated at best.. you don't want want to know what they look like at worste.
well your only here to troll this forum.
And what would you chose. To play a game with medi gfx and (hopefully) good content. or play a game with insane good gfx. and totaly lack of content ?
For me personaly i hate too many details in the grass etc. so i turn those off anyways. however i do want my char to be able to look real when it does stuff. Now whenever GFX is cartoonish or more related to reallife dosnt say anything about if its bad or not.. its just a matter of style !
well i like good graphics, but for me its more of a bar, "you must have better than this grraphics to get the you dont have bad graphics +1" and darkfall is just above that bar.
Blizzard has a habit of using simple shapes and solid colours, WoW and from what I can tell SC2 also, and you can even look at Supreme Commander by GPG, most of thier models are sparesly coloured boxes. Graphics are only important as a crutch for a bad game. I'd also rather they worried more about lag and framerate then slick visuals. Be pretty pointless if they make the game look live action if most of thier customers can only run at half settings.
... Also, if usually takes years to develop a game.
True enough, but there is still no release date or beta in sight, so it may still be years in the making for all we know. I for one like nice graphics; I dont like those mmos that have horrible graphics even if the gameplay is fun. Plus, I just invested a bunch of money on a nice computer, and I want to see something that will challange it nicely.

They are fine for a FPS seamless world MMORPG.
