My hockey season is over and I am looking forward to some nice relaxing time and what better way than a new MMO? I am going to be creating a new char in AO within a week or 2. I have played AO in the past but not for years now, is it still worth starting over from scratch? Anyways would love to meet up with a veteran AO player in game who can reteach me the ropes and get me past the learning curve that I've forgotten about by now. Any willing vets out there that still log some game time in AO?

Yeah well, AO is still great, but the number of free accs which increase the number of players make the petition time ETC a bit longer. It's also a pain in the ass in the newb zones, but if you still got AO and SL it should not be a problem.
Some reminders:
If you have not played SL:
There are perks which are skills that give you bonuses for free. Can be reseted.
The SL world is totally different and require other types of weapons armor(which cost allot)
And for AO:
The implant system; Clusters go into implants that give you bonuses, you can pre-buy them at low lvls, but I recommend making them by yourself when you hit 100 or so.
The mission running AK blitzing for items you want(crafting; implants; ships etc) Is a good way to get items, but you need MF, or Mission Finder that finds the item for you.
Character building and skilling require total control, if you don't know what to skill in, hook up a guide at the foroms or www.gamefaqs.com.
Was this what you wanted or?
Just ask if there is anything else.
Cheers! I'm out ::
