Ok so i've been trying to game for about a week now and my internet has slowed to a crawl. I figured it was my cable company and maybe traffic issues, but after doing some checking and tracert's/arin lookups i find that my major problem point is an AT&T Worldnet hop in my ping travels.
Now i called my company (Charter) to see if there was something they knew about that was being worked on and they said there is nothing they can do to help me. I thought about calling AT&T but i am guessing they will give me the run around and most likely won't get me anywhere. What i would like to know is if there is a way to bypass that specific hop?

Tough one.
I suppose you could try to proxy your way around it.
Just need to find one that is quite a bit out of the way of that AT&T node and hope it does not baktrack to it anyway.
You seem to know a bit about this stuff so I assume you know how, or at least can easily figure it out.
Even if it works though you migth have to direct your traffic to take such a long route no time will be gained anyhow.
Worth a try ay least.
