The only lizardmen that I think would be in WAR would be the ones you get for the Dogs Of War. For the wood elves I thought they didn't want to be in any issue that the other major races have and just stick to their own areas. I can't give any things for beasts of chaos or skaven, they just seem to fit too well.

Somehow i stopped caring for WAR classes.

Tank, scout, caster, healer. That's what you'll get for each race, with ofc some degree of variation (like the empire healer being half tank and the greenskin healer being the shaman) Some scouts will be ranged, some melee... a tank will always be a tank, and a caster will deal damage with a different element (ice, fire, darkness, light, nature.. etc)

    My addiction History:
    >> EQ1 2000-2004 - Shaman/Bard/Wizard/Monk - nolife raid-whore
    >> WoW 2004-2009 + Cataclysm for 2 months - hardcore casual
    >> Current status : done with MMO, too old for that crap.

    Obviously...

would be bad if a Tank couldn't tank eh? ^_^

So yeah, of course some basic mechanics will always be in place, you have to have a healer, a tank, a DPS. That's an absolute must for all races.

Then you got a Pet Class at Greenskins, a Small Range/And Support Class for Dwarfs, something different for each race.

But I think, even the different Gameplay of each Healer class will add alot of variety.

    What will be interesting:

IF Add-Ons implement new Classes for each Race, they will HAVE to overlap with the roles of existant Classes. For example a second Healing class, or another DPS and so on...

Then the Problems of "XY is a better DPS than ZA"-will occur...

Skaven versus Lizardmen is my vote. I don't know enough about their lore to make up some classes...

But Ratmen vs. Lizardmen is new and exciting, gives both races a more "beasty"-Race, and allows for easy implementation of a new Landscape: The Jungle of Lustria.

i didn't make this thread to say WAR was innovative and amazing, or that their classes were new and exciting, i was just wondering what some of the PEOPLE WHO ARE PLANNING TO PLAY AND ARE HYPED ABOUT THIS GAME wanted in the expansion and some classes they could suggest instead of just races.

everybody has seen hundreds of threads about races to be added later, so this thread also explores the classes that could be added, what they would do, and why they should be there

Healer: Spellslinger (Spellweaver, which ever name they like better)
They look cool either way: http://uk.games-workshop.com/woodelves/gallery/1/
What he said, with Beastmen as Destruction opposition.

Personally I expect the first major expansion to be Skaven and Brettonians, tied in with launching mounts and mounted combat with upgrade classes of mounted Chaos Kinghts, mounted Empire knights etc.  Mounted combat would give WAR an extra gameplay feature beyond most of the current fantasy MMORPGs, but is clearly not going to be a release feature priority.

Skaven warlock engineers on giant spiders, ah those were the days.  Although  skaven on Harpies were just too cheesy to permit.

The current design of expansions (WoW style) has been "add a race".   Given the depth of the Warhammer world, I would not be surprised if they up the bar to "add a race and add elite sub-classes to the existing races".

I expect Wood elves would come later - showcasing mounted flying combat in year 2.5 or 3.

On one hand I'd like Beastmen or Vampire Counts/Tomb Kings versus Wood Elves or Bretonnian, but on the other hand I don't think that we will se them in the first expansion(maybe skaven, they have lots supporters, vs lizardmen).

little question: are Lizardmen order though?

I dont know enough about Warhammer armies to know what lizardmen are affiliated to, as the new races will have to fit the Order vs Destruction profile.

hehe wiki'ed them, yeah they are against chaos, and they have worked with the high elves, so yeah, they seem a good addition in the future
