WoW this game is so generic like we really needed another fantasy grind fest from Korea lol.

For those wanting to know whats wrong with it consider the word generic and add flashy effects.

Advertising and cheap/easy to run servers with few/if any content updates. They can survive off of a few thousand players who toss a few dollars their way through a cash store.

the game play itself is one of the best had a ton of fun just killing mobs. but from what i saw when i played it did lack depth the zones was kinda of small but damn the combo system made it fun woulda been great with more to do added.

I have never played Cabal Online, and apparently never will since there is no US servers (according to what you wronynte). What i'm commenting on here is not the game itself but the majority of Korean games that i  have played. The Majority of them seem very linear grindfests. Often times you spend most of your time just asking "where does a level 20 go to level" since that is all you do. Now, don't get me wrong this is where a lot of MMOs originated (i remember asking that question with the original EQ many years ago when it was first released). I find that most of the Korean MMOs are not prepared for an american market, often times  the quests (if any are in the game), are sloppily written where a character will say some something that just sounds so foreign that it just doesn't sound right and it takes a lot away from the game. Often times the characters will also just say something entirely incorrect for example telling you to go East when you're supposed to go West. As i said i have never played Cabal, i'm only making generic statements about the many F2P Korean games i've played, and if this one is anything of the same then i wouldn't be interested.

P.S. i find that calling everybody noobs, and generally being rude about another country (namely the USA) in such a manner does not reflect well on your comments. Nobody ever said they hated the game based solely because they couldn't play it. This person said he didnt like the game for the reasons stated so he obviously played it and can not be from the united states. I take offense solely because too many people assume that Americans are knuckle dragging idiots.

I'd have to agree with you JADEDRAGON, and say that even some games seem like all you is grind, but there is always other ways to lvl and you can also do other stuff like raids and so much more stuff in MMORPG'S which have been lose for sometime. People just don't realize that in MMORPG's you can do more things than just lvl, but hey I guess they just have a small imagination of virtual world in the game and how it can be used for fun instead of boring yourself to death with grinding.

  • Indeed this is just another Korean grind game, but i have to give them credit for the nice combo system and the lovely flashy effects they have.

Idd, the special fx at least are nice. Im enjoying it, but it crashes very often for me i dunno why. Some graphics are bugged (to say the least) but in average its a regular game :p

If this game is a grindfest, thn so is WoW. You get the main exp from quests, however there are not enough quests to level up after level 40. Still this game has a great amount of flashy skills, and the graphics are very good. I think this game has very original stuff, much more thn Lotro.

I played/play this game alot, it's very addicting. It's nothing like a grindfest, so I don't know where the fuck you ppl are whining about.

  • StalkerousStalkerous Member UncommonPosts: 92

No one is whining about the game, people are just posting their points of view. And you can leave your profanity somewhere else, and stop flaming.

Whoever opened this topic and other people complaining that it's "just anther asian grindfest" you obviously never played this game. It's by far less grinding korean game. Heck even WoW has way more grinding then this game.

I started before 2 weeks or so and i'm not high level yet but from lvl 1-55 you have around 200-300 quests and what's way more important quests are not like in all other games ( like WoW - kill 84 bunnies to find 33 bunnies ears ) but they are actually story driven. And not only one but you have countless quests that are really interesting and where you start wondering "what will happen next?".

It's my first game after ... can't remember how long, but it's first time that i don't click on "next, next and next" and run to kill 99 ugly, fat turtles that will destroy this world if you don't kill 'em all. And not only once happened that i couldn't wait to get next part of some quest ...

Another nice features are really nice, complex and quite unusal crafting system, nice skill system and dynamic combat, even if you have to grind like 10 times less then in ANY other mmorpg that i played before.

Conclusion... NO, it's not like other korean grindfests... neither it's like WoW ( wester grindfest, what a change isn't it ?! ) , it actually gives you that feeling that you have in some good old RPG's ( quests are more comparable to off line rpg's then anything other ) and when you add open pvp server , for people that like it - like me ( there are non-pvp, open-pvp and semi-open pvp subservers ) it's really something different and worth your few hours if nothing else ( f2p, worth giving a try i would say ) and if you don't like it... well , nothing happens ... just delete it... it's free to play after all.

Ok, I´ve never been a pro at any game and i never will be.

I have never in my life written anything here in mmorpg.com.

I only became member to watch the game lists for good free games to play.

Finally my search is somewhat over.

I have played pretty much every Korean/asian game sloppy transelated to english.

You name it, Martial Heroes, Silkroad, Knight online, FLYFF, Rappelz and even more i can´t even think of. I´ve even given Silkroad and FLYFF second chances.

Yes, i have also tried WoW. I got bored after level 20.

CABAL has something new, it is actually fun, and i don´t haveto feel pushed to level and be called noob by higher leveled people, so i enjoy playing it.

For people who still has doubts, just try it out, but atleast give it an hour or so, it´s like a book, don´t quit because the cover looks boring ;)

yeah, you guys should stop complaining and give it  a try.

ive been playing it for a day now and it's great!

    let's compare it to WoW:

WoW combat: looks fun at the beginning 10 minutes later, BORING!!

Cabal combat: awesome!!! I never saw this in any MMORPG's that ive played.

WoW skills: every mage skills is the same, every warlock skill -> THE SAME. and so on for the most classes.

Cabal skills: So many skills with diff effects, dont believe me? TRY IT!

WoW PvP: BORING, you hit your enemy and run away, hit him again and run away again..

Cabal PvP: You give the best what youve got and fight like a hero, and no running away..

WoW quests: go kill 10 monsters come back kill another 10 monsters, now go to npc B and give him this package, now kill another 10 monsters, and so one and so one..

Cabal quests: allmost the same but i dont know why but its fun.

ive done the WoW trial, played some private servers, but every time i reach level 20, it gets boring!

WoW grinding: you grind to 10 do some quests, grind to 20 do some quests grind to 40 do some quests and get a mount grind to 70 get loads of mounts do some quests, and finally a flying mount, that's IT!

Cabal grinding: haven't found that out yet not very high yet :D but its better than WoW!!!

    that's my oppinion.

    nom nom nom

The real question is, why are you even posting in here? this is Cabal forum, not for you to cry like a little baby.

If you don't like it, don't play it.

but since you asked me that question I will reply, the game I currently play has less grinding then WoW so i've already finish leveling.. i'm just enjoying the sweet PvP while noobs like yourself continue "farming" npc's in games such as WoW.

Grind in WoW?! What are you talking about, WoW is the quickest leveling game in MMOG history. You want to see grind? Try Lineage II.

actually he is probably right. I cant think of any game that is easier to reach lvl cap in than WoW. It realy is fast. Although that is not where the grind is. The grind is in the reputation and questing to open instances, and pvping for gear. WoW is a heavy grind but not for lvling.

    playing: darkfall
    waiting: earthrise

Uhm from actually... playing the game? Shortly after it got released I got to level 40 in a couple of weeks or so and in that time there were already plenty of people at level cap. Do you know any other MMORPG where people were hitting the cap one month from release?
