Too Late?

fauxhallfauxhall Member Posts: 132
I have been looking for a new mmorpg to play, I tried the trial and its pretty good. But I was wondering if it was to late to start. If there are any new servers to play on so its not just full of high level vets. Also if RP is strong in this game

I dont know about the PVE servers, but if u enter PVP servers you will find a bunch of low lvl people.

One of the nice things in EQ2 is you can lock XP earns and level up slowly. that rocks for PVP (thats why lot of people do it) and its also nice to enjoy every tier. Anyway, one of the consecuences of that is that it is still possible to find low lvl people to group with.

I hope its not too late, I just started playing EQ2 about 3 weeks ago.

BTW, I'm loving it.  I wish I'd started sooner.

You're never too late, ever since SOE introduced the mentoring system, it doesn't matter when you start, just hop in and if you really want to do a hard quest and you can't find anyone your level to help just ask anyone levels above you to come and mentor you!

Liked: Shadowbane, Neocron, Ultima Online(Before UO:R)
    Not Sure about: DAoC
Disliked: AC1, Everquest 1, Everquest 2, World of Garbage(Warcraft), Eve Online, Jumpgate, AC2, Anarchy Online, Sims Online, Saga of Ryzom, Lineage II, City of Heroes, FFXI, Planetside, UO:R(and after)

Well I have been playing EQ2 for over a year now and it is not to late, recently they opened up new free content (Dark elf city of Neriak and a new newbie zone) that has brought a lot of new players into the game. I have leveled up an alt recently and have had no problems getting groups when I want to.

Roleplaying there are two RP servers, Antonia Bayle and Lucan De'Lere the AB is the bigger one (close to crowded actually) but both has several established RP guilds. I play on AB and I have had a blast with my RP character. I would suggest that you go to guildportal and search for roleplayers, you will get up a site called eq2 roleplayers that site has all the info you need on both servers and all the RP guilds out there. The bigger RP guilds also advertise on the official server forums. Try it you will have fun I would suggest to join a bigger established RP guild when you begin so you immediately has a place and a base to start your RPing in as the more established guilds has continuing story lines and random events.
