Can someone in the U.S. please confirm something

Your founders membership offer is over and done with right.. no further capacity for lifetime membership.

Cos if it is and your U.S. game host doesn't offer something like the following then I know that I would be a bit peeved if I weren't on the Euro client...

Codemasters Online are very excited to announce that both new and current subscribers to The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar now have the opportunity to purchase a lifetime subscription to the game for only £150 (inc VAT).

For just £150 players can adventure through Middle-earth without having to worry about paying a monthly fee ever again! The lifetime membership option is now available for selection within the Codemasters Online Player Account System located here.

Notice its a Codemasters offer, not a Turbine offer. Yes its 50% more expensive than the Founders offer but its still a nice offer for those who didn't get a pre-order in.

I only hope they maintain the £99 price for people with valid 'un-used' founders keys.

Yes, they said that lifetime subscription will be returning for the US as well. They haven't announced the price yet, but as the Codemaster's offer, it is most likely going to be more expensive then the original Founder's deal.

It was stated in an interview recently that they were looking at offering Lifetime Memberships, at a higher rate than Founders in the near future. Codemasters is free to structure their plans the way they want, so there is no obligation for Turbine and Codemasters to be consistant on this issue, but my guess is that we will indeed see something very similar in the US soon.

Good, thought it might seem a bit unfair otherwise.

It is my understanding that EU did not get the original founder's price choice, and, again my understanding, that EU pays more for the product.  I do not think they are focusing on fairness.  Thus is business.

Nah...EU got a better deal than the American Lifetime...If you bought the EU Collectors Edition...it came with the Lifetime membership...and lots and lots of cool goodies...it was a lot cooler than the American Special Edition...which was rather disappointing...
