I have entered on here a year ago about the simple fact them player do not 'own' the game they play - in relation to SWG. but now this is bordering on the farcical. It is a game, a product you buy, a hobby. Like it or not, it is nothing more.
RPG stand for Role Playing Game
A GAME in which you, for the duration of your time playing, adopt another persona. if the online persona become more important to you than your real life on then, seriously, please visit a shrink. If you smirk and think ' hey yeah thats me' and feel ironically cool when reading that then you need professional help.
if you call yourself addicted to what ever game GET PROFESSIONAL HELP.
it's a game, it's not real and if the game owners stop paying the bills then the 'world' experiences armageddon but the real world outside keeps turning. If you cant accept this thought, or don't really believe it GET SOME HELP
too many people take this crap too seriously and invest too much of their life in it. Folk cried when SWG bugged about with the basics of the game - this is not healthy behaviour.
Just to give my credentials I have been playing games since I had a commodore 64. I have been a long term subscriber to SWG EQII and now LOTRO. I am not some anti computer nut, but for god's sake people, please get some perspective!!!!!!!
