Dwarf
Fighter Classes
Bounty Hunter - A scavenger class who uses skills to increase the drop rate on enemies in order to assist in the crafting of items by its counterpart, the Warsmith. very profitable class who can sell materials to Warsmiths to craft or those who need them. Bounty Hunters use blunt weapons and spears primarily, and can choose between heavy and light armor mastries. This class gets a significant HP boost, and therefore will have superior survivability.
Warsmith - A crafting expert who can create weapons with recipes and ingredients for himself or for clan members. a very useful class in sieges who can create Mechanical Golems to knock down castle walls. Almost identical to its Bounty Hunter counterpart, this class uses spears and blunt weapons as well. However, as opposed to hunting item drops, this class plays the role of a craftsman and a siege summoner. The Warsmith is able to increase its weight limit by up to 30% and purchase items 10% cheaper than usual, with the skills "Weight Limit" and "Trade". The Warsmith will also have a significant HP boost, and therefore will have superior survivability.
Orc
Fighter Classes
Destroyer - A melee class which uses swords and blunts, as well as spears. Orc Destroyers will be able to choose from light and heavy armor mastries. Most of the Destroyer's skills will be geared towards sword and blunt weapon usage, however they do have "Whirlwind", a powerful spear attack used to damage multiple enemies within a small radius, available to them. This class will have the most HP in the entire game, out of all the fighter classes, due to its high HP boost skills as well as the naturally high HP of the Orc race. This class will serve more as a HP tank, and will be extremely hard to kill, yet the damage inflicted is only mediocre.
Tyrant - A high damage output class who specializes in the use of dual fists (combat weapons) and the use of light armor. The Orc Tyrant will have two major medium range attacks available to it, with the rest of its attacks specializing in melee fighting. Unlike its counterpart, the Destroyer, the Tyrant will focus on fast attack speed with high damage output, but will fall far behind the Destroyer in survivability, due to much less HP. Several self-buffs are available to this class, and are effective but have somewhat long recast times. This class will be useful, but due to recent updates will not be as powerful as originally intended.
Mage Classes
Overlord - A debuffer mage class whose primary objective is to weaken enemies in party play, and clan-wide buffs which are very useful for sieges. Compared to most mages, the Overlord has weak magic attacks, mostly party/clan buffs and enemy debuffs. However, what it lacks in power of spells, it makes up for in physical strength. The Overlord will be able to wear heavy armor, light armor, or robes. The weapon of choice for these mages will be blunt weapons, due to the fact that its only melee attack is "Hammer Crush" which puts its victims into shock. Also in its arsenal of skills, the Overlord has "Quick Recovery" which will decrease the recast time on magic attacks, and help with buffing a clan quickly. This class will be very group-dependant, but will be a welcome addition to any party at higher levels, and a necessary part of siege warfare.
Warcryer - Similar to its counterpart, the Overlord, this class may choose between heavy armor, light armor, and robes, as it has a mastry for each. This class also has high HP, and will also use blunt weapons for the "Hammer Crush" skill, which puts its victims into a state of shock. The difference between the Warcryer and the Overlord being, this class has chants which are intended to buff your party. with the skill "Quick Recovery", the recast time on magic attacks will be shortened for this class, which will help with quickly buffing your party. The Warcryer will, just like the Overlord, be a welcome addition to any clan or party at higher levels.
Dark Elf
Fighter Classes
Shillien Knight - A tank class, probably third best overall (behind Dark Avenger, and Temple Knight), who deals the most damage of all tanks in the game but who lacks in maximum HP. The Shillien Knight summons powerful cubics (up to 3 at once) to drain energy from monsters and heal the summoner with the stolen HP, poison the enemy, and decrease the enemies stats. This class will use heavy armor, swords and blunt weapons, and will carry a shield. Powerful "Drain Energy" spells will steal HP from the enemy, and use it to heal the knight. "Freezing Strike" and "Sting" will be the two main melee attacks of the Shillien Knight, and will do a decent amount of damage, while most tank classes do not have such powerful attacks. Also noteable, a very powerful attack will become available at level 58 called "Lightning Strike" but it has a low success rate.
Bladedancer - A powerful buffer class with offensive-based "dances" to increase the party stats. Buffs last 2 minutes and are relatively effective, and the SP cost of skills is relatively low. The Bladedancer is a dual weilding sword class with no armor mastries, but has the powerful "Sting" attack available to it, as well as "Drain Energy" which is a skill that steals HP from an enemy and uses it to heal the player. This class will also be able to poison the enemy, dealing constant damage, and it will be a very valuable class to any party at higher levels.
Abyss Walker - An extremely powerful assassin class which uses daggers and focuses on high damage output and fast attack speed. Skills are generally inaccurate, and the class is not mana efficient. Light armor is used and evasion is the focus. Useful for groups in dungeons as they have "Unlock" skills which allow them to open locked doors (level 1-3 with 100% success rate at the highest level of unlock skill). Survivability of this class is low, and due to recent updates in the game, it will be more party dependant than before. However, it is still an excellent class and deals large amounts of damage to its enemies. A passive skill is available to increase running speed. In place of the active "Sprint" skill of the Plain Walker and Treasure Hunter counterpart assassin classes, the Abyss Walker has "Silent Move" which allows it to avoid preemptive attacks from enemies.
Phantom Ranger - An archer evasion class wearing light armor and using bows. Speed is the focus, however the Elven Silver Ranger surpasses this class in that aspect of play. Powerful "Drain Energy" spells are used as opposed to the "Elemental Heal" of its elven counterpart. Damage output is higher than the Silver Ranger but HP and nearly every other aspect of the Phantom Rangers stats are lower.
Mage Classes
Phantom Summoner - A summoner class with very powerful servitors, which the caster can heal, recharge MP, and buff (haste, physical sheild, magic sheild, might). The Phantom Summoner uses robes or light armor. Powerful Shadow and Sillhouette summons assist in battle, yet no real special attacks will be used except summons. "Quick Recovery" available.
Spell Howler - A very powerful mage class which focuses on dealing damage with wind attacks, HP absorbing spells, and putting enemies to sleep. The Spell Howler also has an area-of-effect poison cloud spell. Spells to disable magic use in enemies are useful skills available to the spell howler, and with the "Quick Recovery" skill, recast times are decreased.
Shillien Elder - A buffer class with the ability to stop the movement and alter the attacks of enemies, also capable of group healing, yet not as powerful as the human healers. Light armor or robes are used, and it has skills to cure paralysis. This is a generally underestimated class which has some good party buffs to increase such aspects as critical power, magic power, hit rate, and physical defense.
Elf
Fighter Classes
Temple Knight - A very useful tank class which has a speed advantage over all other knight classes. Swords and blunt weapons will be used, along with a shield.. The Temple Knight has powerful aggression skills but also has aggression control skills. Available to the Temple Knight are powerful self-heal spells and self-cure poison and bleeding. Self-haste buffs and magic resistance are key features, and the Temple Knight has the ability to summon cubics (up to 3 at once) which heal the summoner and attack enemies.
Swordsinger - A party buffer class geared towards increasing defense and survivability, similar to its counterpart Dark Elven Bladedancer. Self-heal skills as well as self-cure poison and bleeding are available. No armor mastries are given, and swords and blunts are used as the primary weapon of the Swordsinger. This will be a desireable class to have in a party as a buffer at higher levels.
Plain Walker - A powerful assassin class, it is similar to its counterpart Dark Elven Abyss Walker, yet deals less damage. However, the Plain Walker has higher critical chance and greater accuracy and speed. Aggression control skills, self-heals, and self-cures to poison and bleeding. Also it is equipped with self-haste skills (both passive and active) to increase the running speed, as well as healing speed in running state. Useful for groups in dungeons as the assassin classes have "Unlock" skills.
Silver Ranger - A fast and powerful archer class which focuses on speed and ranged attacks. Aggression control skills are included in this classes arsenal and can prove to be quite useful. Self-heal and self-cure (poison and bleeding) are also included in the Silver Ranger's skill list. Both active and passive self-haste skills are used. This class is very useful in castle sieges and PvP fighting due to its long range, fast moving speed and attack speed, and high damage output, as well as its ability to stun enemies with "Stun Shot". Due to these reasons, it is currently the most overplayed class, but is very useful.
Mage Classes
Elemental Summoner - A powerful summoner class, similar to its Dark Elven counterpart (Phantom Summoner). Summons unicorn servitors which the caster can heal, recharge MP, shield from physical and magic attacks, buff with haste spells and magic power increases. Robes and light armor can be used, however there are no self-heal spells available to this class after the level 40 class change. "Quick Recovery" available.
Spellsinger - A powerful nuker class, similar to its Dark Elven counterpart (Spell Howler). The Spellsinger focuses on water and ice spells, and also has the ability to put both single and multiple enemies to sleep, disabling their attacks. Robe mastry is available. "Quick Recovery" available.
Elder - A powerful healing class, yet still not as powerful as the human healers. Light armor and robe mastry are available, and many defensive buffs are included in the Elder's arsenal of skills. Among the many useful skills available to the Elder, ressurrection skills are available, as well as teleport spells (to village). The Elder can also put enemies to sleep, as well as limit the movement of enemies. Powerful group heals are a strong point of this class. "Quick Recovery" available.
Human
Fighter Classes
Dark Avenger - One of the most powerful tank classes available, the Dark Avenger uses swords and blunt weapons, wears heavy armor, and carries a shield. the Dark Avenger has powerful aggression spells, both single enemy and multiple enemies may be affected by these skills. Also available to the Dark Avenger are powerful "Drain Energy" skills which steal HP from the enemy and use it to recover the users HP. The Dark Avenger has powerful "Shield Stun" skills that put the enemy into a state of shock which disables the enemy from attacking for a short period of time. A Dark Panther summon is also available, which attacks quickly and efficiently to assist the Dark Avenger in battle. Powerful attacks are limited, however defense is a key feature of the Dark Avenger.
Paladin - A tank class which uses swords and blunt weapons as well as heavy armor, and carries a shield. Powerful self-healing skills are available to the Paladin, as well as shield stun skills identical to the Dark Avenger's. A key aspect of the Paladin is its superior ability to fight undead monsters with sacred power.
Warlord - A warrior class which uses spears to attack, and even knock down, multiple enemies at once. The Warlord uses heavy or light armor, and has powerful thunder and wind attacks. Area-of-effect spells also affect multiple enemies in the area, and the Warlord is fully equipped with plenty of HP. Very useful for castle sieges to attack multiple enemies at once on the front lines. This class is especially useful for farming as well, as it can quickly kill blues and greens at a rate of about 3 at a time.
Gladiator - A very powerful warrior class which primarily uses its dual weilding capabilities, as well as swords and blunt weapons. This class has its choice of mastries with both light and heavy armor skills available to it. the Gladiator has many fast attacks that deal plenty of damage, as well as having several medium ranged attacks. The Gladiator can detect the weaknesses of enemies and do more damage with its attacks, and is quite possibly the best class in the game for 1 on 1 PvP and PvE. It is also very useful in groups as well, as the high damage output and speed of the attacks is the main purpose of the Gladiator.
Treasure Hunter - A dagger-using assassin class, like its counterpart Plain and Abyss Walkers. Both critical chance and critical power are boosted for this class, yet it is slower than its Elven and Dark Elven cousins. Self-haste skills (both active and passive) assist the Treasure Hunter, and it has powerful aggression control skills, as well as unlock skills. The treasure hunter focuses on speed and power of attacks, but has lower accuracy and lower defense. the Treasure Hunter does, however, have the advantage of higher HP than the other assassin classes.
Hawkeye - An archer class who specializes in bows and light armor, and sacrifices defensive abilities for evasion tactics. Powerful attacks and self-haste buffs make this class useful, and surprisingly this class is more powerful and useful than its Elven and Dark Elven counterparts (Silver and Phantom Rangers). It has the advantage of higher HP, more power, and faster attack speed, however it does lack in movement speed compared to the others. Due to the recent changes in monster movement speed, and the lack of any ability to really kite anymore, the Hawkeye is arguably the best archer class now. This is the best archer class for sieges, and is also very powerful in Player vs. Player fighting.
Mage Classes
Sorcerer - A very powerful nuker class who focuses on using fire attacks and can put the enemies to sleep, as well as slow their movement. The Sorcerer is a very strong mage class with more HP and survivability than the Elven and Dark Elven counterparts, and specializes in wearing robes. "Quick Recovery" available.
Necromancer - A summoner class who wears robes, focuses on summoning servitors and confusion of the enemy to make it fearful or alter its attack target. The Necromancer can also put enemies to sleep, poison single enemies or summon poisonous clouds to affect multiple enemies, and steal HP from corpses. The main summons of the Necromancer are "Corrupted Man" (a zombie) and "Reanimated Man" (a skeleton). The Necromancer also has the power to make enemies monsters attack eachother.
Warlock - A summoning class similar to the Elven Elemental Summoner, and Dark Elven Phantom Summoner. The Warlock calls upon Cat creatures to assist him in battle. Just like its Elven and Dark Elven counterparts, it can heal and buff its servitors with haste, MP recharge, healing, and both physical and magic shields. Both light armor and robe mastries are available to the Warlock. "Quick Recovery" available.
Bishop - A powerful healing and buffing class who also possesses the capability of putting enemies to sleep and can eliminate their will to attack, or make them fearful and run from battle, or even eliminate their will to attack completely. The Bishop is especially powerful against undead monsters. Both light armor and robe mastries are granted to this class. "Greater Group Heal" and "Greater Heal" are both available to the Bishop, which are very useful healing spells. Desireable class for grouping at later levels as well as castle sieges, as humans are generally considered to have the best healing classes.
Prophet - A powerful magic class that has heavy armor, light armor, and robe mastries available to him. Both offensive and defensive buffs are included in the Prophet's arsenal, as well as group heals are the Prophet's specialty. The Prophet also has HP boosting skills which increase its survivability. Among some of the more important skills available to the Prophet, "Dryad Root" disables the movement of an enemy temporarily. Also available are teleport skills, strength boosting skills and buffs to increase such stats as hit rate, critical power, shield defense rate, increase maximum HP and MP, increase magic speed and magic defense, increase resistance to fire, and increase defense. This is one of the most desireable classes in groups and clans, especially useful for clan warefare, as human healers and buffers are generally considered to have the best healing classes.

Tanks have high HP and defensive capabilities.
Buffs = spells cast by a player on himself or on the party/clan he is grouped with which increase certain stats such as movement speed, maximum HP and MP, critical strength, critical chance, physical defense, magic defense, etc.

Evasion Class = a class that specializes in wearing light armor with lower defense, and focuses on speed of attacks and fast movement. weaker than heavy classes as far as HP and defense, but they dodge attacks more frequently.
Light Armor = less defensive capabilities, but generally boosts evasion.
Heavy Armor = more defense than light armor, intended for classes with high amounts of HP.
Robes = armor type specifically intended for use by mages, usually granting MP boosts when worn in sets.
Cubic = a glowing orb summoned by Elven Temple Knights and Dark Elven Shillien Knights. Cubics can not be controlled by the player or commanded in any way, they are driven by AI. The casts last 10 minutes and can be recast at any time. With the proper skills, one can summon up to 3 cubics at once.
Nuker = a "slang" word for mage classes who use strong spells to deal damage to their enemies rather than buffing party members and/or healing.

Murt should be the MMORPG.com information Guru lol
Good job!
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
If we can have people come up with their own guides that would great! The New Guide and Trade forums will be appearing soon.

Well considering C1 isn't out till June 15 (or so the evil programmers say) the grouping hasn't changed.
However, people that were arrogant (steal your loot, pk for no reason) weren't serious about the game, thus, did not buy the game.
the only thing that i hate about the game...really badly, are the botters.

I'd like to make a good PVP character, and it seems like vaal thinks that the gladiator is the best. Anyone disagree?

yeah..
Dark Avenger is the best, followed very slightly behind by Shillien Knight. Temple Knight would be third; there is no way that I could see them as more powerful than an SK. Although a SK doesn't become a powerful class until level 58. My main is an SK, people tell me it's the best PvP tank, but I'm not in A grade yet, so we'll see.
