I thought it was perfect. I personally was was heading for a heart attack during the last 5-10 minutes of it and I haven't felt like that since I used to see red names appear on the screen in a certain online game.

My biggest problem with TV is that it is too damn predictable. One of the reasons I was so hooked on Buffy, Angel, and Firefly other than the fact they were full of hot women, was that Whedon was not afraid to kill off main characters without warning. None of this shitty "And someone won't survive" crap they put into the previews for the next episode either.(Reason I never ever watch episode previews).

Basically Chase did with this what he wanted. Just like the ending of Rome it was sort of left to the imagination, but also Sopranos stayed true to the fact that this was Fiction, but not entirely unrealistic fiction. Sure there was a bit of a MOB war at the end, but no final showdowns.

I knew that Chase intended, or at least really wanted to do an HBO or even Theater Movie or series of movies after he had written the end of the show. I also knew this meant Tony would survive for sure, but of course the family was up for grabs. Also I knew he had said all this before popping in an 8th episode instead of ending with 7.

In the end we got the action we wanted, the closure we wanted, the tranquil ending we wanted, and all of it was "edge of your seat" good.

Now that Sopranos, Rome, and Deadwood are all over I highly recommend "The Wire", and "Dexter" as well as "Brotherhood" over on Showtime. "The Tudors" isn't bad, but the other 3 are all just as good S/R/D in my opinion.

I just wanted to add, now that I have hit quite a few different forums, that viewers of the Sopranos are just as mindless as those of other less intelligent shows. So much complaining about the show ending the way it did, where nothing gigantic happened and we basically just get what could be the ending of any other episode. I'm not sure if people are upset because it didn't end in a large NY vs NJ gun battle or because it ended without giving us one of those American Graffiti/Animal House/Wonder Years "here is how the rest of each character's life went for the next 30 years".

If these people want their fiction so damn structured and planned out for every single part of the show they need to go back to their "Reality Shows".

As a customer service provider I talk to damn near 30-50 different people from all 50 states(many recently arrived in the US from all parts of the world) every single work day. You would be amazed at how many of them are just so damn stupid. Not because they can't operate a Television or because they don't understand their bill, but just everything about them screams stupid(or at the very least ignorant). It really is amazing.

I dont know...I didnt like it at all.

It was kind of like Episode 1 but Episode 1.5

It was ok for a regular episode but for the last ever, it wasn't all that. My opinion tho

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

Yeah for me the show still had a lot of life left in it and the ending felt a little rushed.

Great show though and like the closing comment said... "Ill try and remember the good times"

It was genius, in terms of symbolism, but also boring at the same time.

After I saw it, I was one of those people who thought their cable went out. It was cut off way to early. Too early to give whoevers watching an idea of what would happen next. Disapppointing
