What makes DAOC combat so good?

the title pretty much says it all, ive heard heaps of people saying DAOC pvp is awesome and the best, but why?

because iam thinking of playing......

    Many of the people you hear have played camelot from day one.  When it was released it was the 1st game to have pvp as a major part of the gameplay, not including duels.



    As a fan and current player of DAoC all I can tell you is if you have the spare money and time the best way for you to find out is to try it yourself.  You may like it or you may not.



    No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
