hey guys

well i havent played GW kn over a year now im gettin back on board cos im overpaying for wow and takin 3 months to level up.

jus wondering do i have to download any patches? or wen i load into the Game does it download patches

im entering Ascalon City and its downloaded like 40MB and still says 0%



just curious ty for ur help







p.s wat is the most desirable class in the game

and wats not so desirable and wats best 4 a noob like me =D

Zan, you don't have to download any patches and Anet still uses streaming updates to, for the most part, seamlessly update the game.  I know I had to stop for a while and come back because of computer issues, and when I did, I had to go through and basically update every town I went into.  Just give is some time in the beginning, and depending on your computer speed, just let your groups know in advance that you will be "loading" into the area so it may take a little bit longer to get there.



As for whats the best to play, I would like to direct you to the sticky thread at the top of the list.  There is a little section that goes over this idea.  Basically it depends on your play style...like to be up front and push the action: Beginner = Warrior/Monk, like to stay back and have a little extra pressure: Beginner = Monk/Mesmer, or do you like something inbetween: Beginner = Ranger/Monk.  Basically throwing some monk in have allow you to have some extra survivability out in the world.



You can have success with most any combo you throw together...so just have fun with whatever you put together.

i made a Mesmer......so im not sure how u turn it into a Mesmer/Monk 

but i got told to start off puttin points into Illusion.

Or use the "-image" (I think it's the right syntax) handle in your GW desktop shortcut. You will download and update everything right before logging in (might take a while though).
