Goonzu Online- One of the games I like

When I first came across this game, it doesn't captivate my interest straight away. First thing in my mind is "Oh....the graphics is so "cartoony", guess I won't find anything interesting." Well I'm wrong......I've decided to give this game a try after much persuasion from my brother. I'm glad that he did, because after playing, I grew to love this game so much that I'm addicted to it.

 

Goonzu online is a free game created by a Korean company -> NDOORS and is very popular in countries like Japan, China and Korea itself. Basically, this game is like most typical mmorpg where you have to hunt monsters and level up and be the best player in the game. You have six choices of weapons to choose from, for ranged – canes, gun and bow, for melee – sword, spear and axe. Besides, there is also the manufacturer class where u can create weapons, equipments, food and medicines etc...One of the things that attracted me (which I seldom see on other mmorpg) are those cool mounts that your character can ride on, namely the vixen, zebra, reindeer, bluestorm, armored horses, etc and probably new mounts in future updates. Besides looking cool riding those mounts, each have their own set of stats which will enhance your fighting abilities and moving speed.

 

However that’s not all, this game have a political feature -> shares/stocks. Shares/stocks of towns all over Goonzu will be issued to players periodically. Players with shares can vote to decide who will be the chief of that town. And the chief can recruit his own Heads of the town and other players to be part of his force in building up the town, whether to rule the town in peace and prosper or compete with other towns and be the strongest or richest ….. is decided by the Town Chiefs. So if you are someone who wants “World Peace”, then choose your Town Chief wisely.

On top of that, there is also the Goonzu (Ruler) of the game, also selected among players. If you are a reputable player, respected by all and have a group of supporters, you can start a campaign and try opting to be the Goonzu. Unlike Town Chiefs, Goonzu is selected by votes from all the players in the game. Both Goonzu and Town Chiefs will rule for a period of time after which there will be a new election again.

 

This is a community game where the economy, the market is mostly affected by players. To force the economy into recession or have a prosperous economy, it’s directly/ indirectly affected by players.

New players can apply and ask players who have been in the game for sometime to be your mentor, this is one of the features in the game which I find it unique. It enables players to interact and guide each other in the game. As I have mentioned above that this is a community game, it’s very difficult to survive if you choose to be a loner. Moreover it will also add more fun if you have a group of friends around. Maybe you guys can start a guild and have friendly matches with other guilds. GvG (Guild versus Guild), another popular feature of Goonzu online where guilds can challenge each other to a match, though its similar to PvP (Player versus Player) but it involves more than just two players fighting against each other. GvG requires co ordinations and tactics to win a match.

 

Though Goonzu Online is a free game but there is also item mall available where you can get some of those exclusive and rare items like mounts and avatars. You can purchase items using Gcoins which is acquired from the Goonzu website: http://global.goonzu.com. There is only two ways to purchase Gcoins, either through paypal or using credit card.

Even with the item mall, the game is still fairly balanced and you are still able to enjoy it even without using item mall stuffs.

 

Personally I feel that given all the features I mentioned above, Goonzu Online is a game playable by people from all age groups, all cultures.
