An endless sea of shadows rolled aimlessly over the land. The emptiness of nothing, steals thy breath within its chilling embrace. Devil mists, lift defiantly to the heavens blacking out the sun. With the ominous impedance of a sinister omen, the exhale of death consumes the stoutest hearts. A cold wind blows from the north. Those within its howl fell to the snarling clutch of ethereal wolves adorned in midnight. Rivers of blood stained the most majestic armor. Courage, spilled from the wounds of valor and were trampled into the earth. The armies of darkness had descended upon the lands and laid before us a choice: To embrace that which is dark and wicked, or to stand as candle in the wind. That choice is ours alone.
Guild Charter:
Motto: One guild, filled with many visions, serving one purpose in seamless harmony.
Headhunters are a guild about making new friends, and having high adventure with a strong focus on teamwork, desire and commitment. We are an Eastern Time Zone based Light RP, PvE, PvP, and Raiding Guild. We seek new friends that will play together and achieve together in a friendly casual atmosphere with a hard core devotion. We seek those with past MMO, PvP and Raiding experience. Light role-play is available to enhance the gaming atmosphere but, it is not "required" to be in character. Although Raiding is in our Charter, it is not the primary focus. We wish to achieve balance between all the styles of play but at or near end game the focus will lean toward PvP and Raiding. We thrive in consuming ALL content and will not necessarily race to the end game for end games sake. It will still be there when we arrive and we shall roll in like Lions! Until then, it is simply the calm before the storm. Despite our lofty goals The Headhunters Guild will not feel like a job, it will feel like an adventure! Fun is our primary concern, but as passionate gamers we will not live under another's shadow.
The Focus:
Our focus is on PvP, PvE, Raiding and Light RP. Our mission is to explore everything that Hyboria has to offer, and to control and embrace the end game PvP Combat and Raiding while keeping our "members first." We will not be a machine, but instead will approach end game as a Journey to be savored. When we have seen and done it all, we will have developed bonds that will allow us to dissect the end game with tactical precisions and respected authority. We Work smarter, not harder. To do this we must become ONE, and work as a partnership with a common objective.
Fun and Camaraderie:
Is, and will always remain Job One. We will raise the bar and make new friends one member at a time. We strive to be your family out in the wilds of Hyboria. We will remain committed to each other as brothers and sisters in all our endeavors; be it Adventure, Crafting, or Socializing. Each is as equally important as the other.
What We Seek:
Our success is only achievable by our members. We seek team players, friendly, helpful, committed, mature, and loyal. These individuals are selfless and strive to be that to all others. We seek those that can communicate their voice on all subjects good or bad in a respectable and approachable manor. We embrace those that wish to become brothers and sisters on the Quest of a life time where we depend upon and need the other. The lone wolf will find little comfort here!
Commitment and Attitude (Ideally)
- 20 hours minimum playtime between the hours of 5pm 1am EST.
- Any absenteeism for longer than 7 days must be posted in the forums.
- Members absent from game longer than 7 days will be removed from the guild.
- PvP and Raids Participation -- To be determined.
- Hardware must meet or exceed minimum specs posted by Funcom. Dungeons and battlegrounds can be laggy places.
- We will be using Voice Chat for PvP and Raiding. The ability to at least "Listen In" is required. *this feature not yet active.
- Respect EVERYTHING, this means Yourself, The Leaders and Officers, The Members, the AoC Community, and Members of Other Guilds. You will wear our tag Headhunters, so represent yourself with pride and dignity. Be known, in a positive manor. Rez someone as you pass by and are able. Pass out free buffs. Say hello to a stranger. Be a positive addition to our gaming world and build our reputation in a positive light.
- Be a team player.
- Act in a mature and respectful attitude. Leet talking, and trash talking is not a representation of this virtue.
- You MUST be at a minimum age of 18 to join this guild.
The leaders and Officers of Headhunters have an open door policy. Our goal is to maximize fun, consume all content, and keep drama to minimum.
All things of a sensitive matter i.e. disputes, disagreements, suggestions and so forth, that might be considered material that may disrupt or make waves in normal guild activity must be expressed in private to an Officer or Leader.
Role-play:
Headhunters are a Neutral light RP guild. Although encouraged, it is not mandatory. It exists to help enhance the enjoyment and immersion into your game play.
We will be playing on a possible Non FFA PvP RP Server if one exists, otherwise will we be on a Non FFA PvP server. We do this because in our experience playing on a role-play server tends to cater to a more mature or older crowd. This is subject to change, depending on the development of the servers and community.
Applicants:
- Fill out the application form. You can click -=HERE=- to fill one out now!
- Register on our Forums with your predicted in game first name only.
- Be sure to have Ventrilo voice client assessable.
- Be an active participant on the forum (always).
- If possible, seek out Headhunter members and try to group with them. Remember who you were with and what you were doing as they may be called on as a character reference on your behalf.
- While an applicant. You may seek out an Officer or Leader in the guild to "Tag" you in game as an initiate. After your trial period you will be promoted to full member.
- You are under evaluation (as are we to you) to see if you/us would be a good fit. Be as active as you can both in game and in the forums, not just during your application process, but always. We strive to build a strong community that will endure for many years to come; as brothers and sisters.

No One Left Behind Policy:
Inspired by a forum post some time ago about the negative aspects of belonging to a guild, how it only seems to serve the leadership, and eventually creates the formation of cliques, Headhunters is incorporating the No One Left Behind Policy. This means we will return to the roots of guild formation with the following: Camaraderie, fun, achievement, socialism, pride, and reliability. This policy will always be growing and shaping. The golden rule to remember is the return of "One for all, and all for one." The first of many steps are listed:
- Focus Groups: 1 or 2 times a week, we will focus on an area, quest, or a series. Volunteers that have completed the chosen tasks will lead groups of those who have not. These "missions" will run at a pre-designated time and those "needing that mission" will sign up until all the available slots are filled. These missions will be run until everyone in the guild has what they need accomplished.
