I love going on the game forums and clicking on the very first few pages of posts whenever a game came out. It is kinda funny seeing what some people wrote. Such as when people wrote about WOW while still in Beta and were upset that there were no rangers or when the official WOW website will be open while others wrote about how great the role-playing will be in Lineage 2 when the NA server open.
I just find it fascinating seeing what people wrote, some people nailed the game right on the head before the game was even in closed beta while others posted all these so called inside scoops and you think "where the hell did they get that information from?".
It is also interesting reading the first few pages of posts, then reading the middle area of posts and then reading the most recent posts and seeing how games have either improved or became a complete failure over time.
I wonder how many of those original guild posting wanting only "hardcore players that can commit 8 hours a day 6 days a week" are still around.
I guess for the most part I sorta forgot games such as WOW, EQ, Lineage 2 and, DAOC were once closed betas, and find it real interesting what peoples first impressions were about a game.
