anyone know of any free winzip type  programs out there?

Try winrar. It isn't free but I believe you can use it indefinitely and it just has a nag screen that can easily be closed.

i though winzip is free



either way winrar is also free to unzip stuff but not free to make zip folders (but every version of windows comes with some kind of zip thing)



also winace (dont know much about it though)
