Nominate your favorite Athletes

ESPN has a contest named "Who's Now", sports fans can nominate their favorite athlete and can debate about other nominies.. I will nominate Randy Couture cuz he's my favorite athlete on UFC.. Erik Morales and Manny Pacquiao on Boxing.. then Tony Parker and so on.. anyway they will name top 32.

From their list of candidates that everyone will agree on "1: Tiger Woods"

 

Golf isn't a sport...therefore Tiger Woods is not an Athlete.  Golf is to sports what Jeff Foxworthy is to gameshows.

 

"3: Tom Brady"

 

The most overrated quarterback of all time?  That guy who has the best coach in the NFL behind him?  That guy who had a hall of fame running back for all of his super bowl wins?  That guy with the best offensive line in the NFL?  Oh yeah...he's great.  Tom Brady would have to TRY to not do well, and even then it would be hard.  Tom Brady is a solid quarterback, I'll even give that he is in the top 75% in the NFL...but to say that he's the kind of athlete that nobody has any objection to?  That's just BS...I can't stand ESPN sometimes.

So is this about "favourites" or about who is the best all round athelete. If it's the latter, then Phelps is probably the name that stands out for me. I notice they include Beckham and Ronaldinho and the top tennis players, but other than that, it's a very American list, and there are great atheletes all around the globe.



Of course, Beckham would be my "favourite" from the list, but that's just me being a nationalistic football fan, and I'm delighted that he's back on the England team.
