It always kills me when I'm on vent and someone says, my mom needs the computer - got to go.
These kids today are soft - they need the learn how to tell their parents what to do. I should give lessons.
My brother and I were two different cases of teen rebel. I was the passive rebel. Always saying “yes mom”, but then never doing what I just said yet to

My brother would just say – No. F*ck off.
Families are fun - yay!
You're 37...Wow.
I'm surprised you didn't get your ass beat. I'm your junior, which means I grew up in more liberal times, and if I talked to my parents like that, my dad would have beat the hell out of me. No exceptions.

My parents never hit us, my dad was out of town most of the time (sales and then later president of a company).
I also smoked pot and drank in the basement all the time. The basement was the no parents zone. I turned out ok, but my brother is still smoking pot and living pay check to pay check at the age of 30 - but he plays a great guitar.
The good news is I got sober (still am, and 37) at the age of 19 and have been a good little computer geek ever since.
I wanted to smoke pot but my parents said I had to got to bed so I could get up at 6am
