The graphics at first are very good, and the armour looks awesome as well as the weapons ( thats the gold stuff you see ), but once you enter the game the graphics tank severly, and your wearing rags. To me at first it looked like a very cool game but really, there is very limited sound quality, graphics are terrible, and pretty much no one will help help you. Thats my experience from it, Ill never play it again, and I dont suggest you download it.

Wow, what an absolute and disgusting lie.

You do NOT start out in the middle of nowhere, in fact, you first start on a boat, which is the first part of the tutorial. Then you move to an alternative Coimbra, which is the 2nd part of the tutorial. Then you move to the office of pioneering support, which brings you to the 3rd part of the tutorial.  No tutorials? It seems you have never even played the game, because it is fact that this game has a detailed tutorial with NPC's explaining even the smallest things.

I also find it quite funny that, first you claim the armour is "Awesome" and next you claim you are wearing rags. Again, another lie, because the at the very start of the game, the character creation screen, you can select every armor model in the entire game and stick with it all the way to level 100.

Bad graphics? I'm going to assume that you forgot to go to the option screen and turn the graphics up. This game won the award for best graphics in 2006, there is no way that this game has bad graphics.

Well, I was just going to type up a huge flaming post about how much of an idiot you are, and how your mother must have given you shaking baby syndrome, but instead Im going to educate you. When posting on a forum, before calling someone a " absolute and disgusting " lier, you might want to read at least the entire page before making such aqusitions. While in fact I was talking about http://www.wydglobal.com/ the game, and not http://www.swordofthenewworld.com/ the game. By the way, you can email me your pathetic apology at John_n_Grime@yahoo.com, thanks, have a nice day.

And why would I email an apology?

You talk about "With your Destiny" in a thread about Sword of the New World. Please go to a store, buy a pair of glasses and post in the right thread next time. Stop dragging Topics off-topic, Your the one at fault here. If you talk about a different game, the very least you could do is mention that you are talking about a game that has nothing to do with the subject.

Good thing you didn't went to write a flaming post, that would have made you look pretty stupid.

Seriously...im with Gameloading here...tha game is great...but has many flaws...there are a few versions of it...being named different and being korean indian etc...bot systems make the game completely lazy...gms are pussies(sorry if some has something different...this was just from ym expereience playing the game)...the items became too far out and farming is a must at lvl 40+...in the end its a game you can waste time and chill since you have a bot system implemented in...just a little more work and putting down the price a bit maybe ill P2P...and the clothes arent rags...looking up close they are done pretty well for a graphics its pulling out

Sword of the New World sounded like the next nice mmorpg to come.

I have to say that Asian graphic does appeal me in general. In this particular game, characters and armors look just great... I’ve therefore subscribed to the beta and download this 8th wonder of virtual world. Well… First frustration: character customization. For me choosing your outfit is not character customization. Your character looks amazing but we look all the same.

I understand that for some players, this kind of game features is not important. So, I forgot about it and continue my game discovery. Point-and-Click and camera motions were other compounds that disturb me, but I choosed to overlook to go deeper in the game.

You start on a boat then in a quite nice but un-expressive city with npc to speak in order to follow the tutorial. The overall idea is good but you feel you're wasting your times running after each npc specialized in such and such activities.

I picked my characters, made my family, follow the tutorial and so, am ready to enter in the story and the battle. I dare to have the family work on this new battleground. This reminds me Final Fantasy. Second disillusion, what worked in FF, just seems not the case in Sword of the New World. I cannot tell, but maybe is this “the game doesn’t need me to fight” that bother me rapidly; or maybe is just the pokemon looks of the monsters.

The game was just inexpressive for me and didn’t require more attention and so, I delete it from my PC.

I’ve to say that I didn’t go up to level 40 and didn’t get the chance to met the nasty AOC spiders, maybe the game become interesting after the first levels. However what I want from a game is interest at the first click.

I think the games biggest problem is the auto combat system. You can leave You characters stand and they will do the all the work for You. It's like best possible system for boting.  Basicly sayed this game is booring.

I think GW did this charcater controll system better. You controll one the character and others are auto controlled. They don't do anythign, untill You do somethign with You controlled character. If You move, they move. If You attack, they attack.

The Sword of New Worlds would be 10 times better game with GW like player npc system.

PS: No point to start playing Sword of New World, because You can play the orginal Granado Espada too, wihout limits what Sword of New Worlds have.

Granado Espada will go pay to play as well, it has less content and a lot more lag then SotNW.

If you cant tell Gameloading is somewhat of a fanboy. We all know what they're capable of. Overhyping, over-exaggerating, and sometimes balant lies.

56 million to develop Sword of the New World? Wow, and we thought vanguard sucked with it's money management.

    I think it's a great game overall.

The three characters per players is fantastic. The quests are ok, but having gotten my characters up to level 38... and then all of a sudden since it went to pay to play status, I have lost my characters.

Would have been nice to have the option to continue playing. This would have gotten me to pay for it, but not anymore.

Getting to Level 20 only takes 2 nights of gameplay.

There needs to be more character customisation. Like I think you should be able to choose the type of look, and then as you get better armour your look changes.

Gameplay is streamlined and I have to admit i had a lot of fun playing! the classes work well together and since you can have 3 characters, it means so much more flexibility as well as it is more forgiving to mistakes.

Another thing i like about it is that it's not only about levels, but how long you spend using stances.

Regardless, this is a game that could be really great if only they fixed a few small things.

The auto fight mode is fine, since it times out after 30min now. So you get at most 30min of unsupervised XP.

Another thing that I really liked is that it was simple, like Diablo. so overall, this is a game I'm willing to pay to play, all I need is some friends to play.

I think originally you only got one armor type and then as you level you got more armor choices. But k2 decided to give everyone all the armor at the start to give sort of a customization feel. Personally I think if they wanted that, they should have added the wigs instead.

level 20-40 is the best levels because that's when you start to get a ton of quests for UPC's as well as your final stances. After that it's like 1 UPC every 5-10 levels and the gameplay is repetitive. From then on you're grinding to do pvp wars which is the endgame I guess.

Oh and if you turn off auto defend you can afk level for as long as your connection holds, or until your character dies. I've afk level for 30 hours before. But then I've also only afk level for 3 hours and came back to a dead family. Depends on how much risk you want to take.

I did leave my charcaters for hours to fight without any problems? They seem to do them fine by them self, got them to level 15 in first day and I did not play the game at all. Just walked with character to next zone and whatched a movie while game played it self. After movie I walked higher zone and started second movie and so on. Sure I could have played the game, by why bother? Game will play it for You.

PS: I have actually played GE before, so did not really need to play this, was just testign what's the different between them. Notting at all.
