This info is from a public event, in Baltimore, MD for Games Day 2007.
Classes:
Hammerer: This class was by far the most powerful out of the ones I played while in Baltimore. The DPS is great and the debuffs and snares are amazing. Specials such as crush armor, mouth full o' hammer and destroy weapon rocked. Damaging moves like kidney blow and whirlwind attack was cool. Yes, you can throw your hammer!
Ironbreaker: This was a very tough and powerful class. The damage absoption is great and the DPS is awesome for a tank. WAR does not have the traditional three of Healer, Tank, and Crowd Control. As Paul Barnett said, "Every class can do damage!"
Black Orc: Another tank class with an added bonus. These huge Orcs have the ability to knock down, snare and literally throw smaller classes such as Shaman behind them and absorb the damage. The class was simply outstanding.
Zealot: As I have stated before, this class is enirely unique. A spellcaster with the ability to heal. The spells call upon crows that swarm and devour opponents, with the ability to heal the Zealot itself, a class you all should try at one point.
That is all the classes and races I was able to try out.
RvR:
Simply put, amazing. The gameplay is very face-paced, and the early Alpha footage really was misleading. The missions inside the scenarios I played (Graveyard, and the Gates of Ekrund) were very good, much effort went into it.
Collision Detection:
Awesome stuff, I can't tell you how many times someone tried to run through my Black Orc to kill the Shaman behind me, only to smack into me and get beat into the ground!
PvE:
For a game so into PvP, the PvE was great, Paul Barnett was dead on with how kill collectors work in WAR. These were the only missions I played and were a refreshing change to the standard MMO.
Graphics:
WoW? The only similarity here is that there are Dwarves and Elves! You zoom in on your character and you actually see Dwarvern Runes on the Dwarvern Gromril Armor. The massive Black Orc's armor and massive choppas gleam as they cleave into opponents and draw a realistic blood spray. SImply brillant.
Seminar:
I was able to get into a seminar with Paul Barnett and Jeff Hickman and it was great. Paul's energy was amazing as always and Jeff is very knowledeable. Paul is a very kind and polite man, with the energy and passions to get anyone into this game. They did a long Q and A and answered a lot of questions. Here are some of the most common.
Future Races?
Yes! They showed a Skaven running around carrying a Bloodthirster's Axe in it's mouth! They also mentioned places such as Bretonnia and Lustria.
Instanced PvP?
There is instanced PvP, but the game mostly relies on World PvP.
Public Quests?
Over 300!
Final Thoughts:
Simply put, brillant and amazing. I have been waiting for this game since Climax had the liscense in 2000 I believe. Now that Mythic has it, I still don't feel robbed about the wait. This game will rock and I feel so lucky to have been able to have seen it first hand.

Sorry if they suck, not a very good photographer. Hope you all enjoyed the review.

But only 300 quests!!! I had did about 300 by level 20 in EQ2. So what is that about? Do you have to eventually PvP to level. I remember watching a video that said as you get higher the more PvP there will be. Hm I don't know. If anyone can answer my question I'd appriciate it.
Not 300 quests. Over 300 of the Public Quests, there are countless other Kill-Collector, Tome of Knowledge, Exploration, and many others. Also, you never have to PvP to level, it's just more fun!

I really wonder if they will pull off the Public Quest system successfully. I have been advocating something like this since I first started playing EQ YEARS ago.
I appreciate the review.

WoW and fast food = commercial successes.
I neither play WoW nor eat fast food.
They are pretty hard to explain, watch this Podcast and love it!

Try to understand that for a Greenskin, a day that starts by killing someone with your bare hands and ends with those same hands being chopped off in battle is a good day!
Or hate you for wanting me to play WAR NOWWWW!!!!!

I'd kill for a guaranteed Beta Spot

Pretty easy to kill someone without any chance of getting caught, unless you tell someone, of course.
And definately worth the risk for a beta spot

It IS officially stated that there'll be 40 levels total.
Seperated into 4 Tiers with 10 lvls each.
So you basically start out as Tier 1, Rank 0. Then gain Ranks up to Tier 1, Rank 9. The next lvlup is a bigger one, and gets you to Tier 2, Rank 0.
How big the difference between raising a Rank, and raising a Tier will be isn't known yet, however.
But yeah, maxlvl is 40, or Tier 4, Rank 9, probably.
The Boss is not Tier 40, but either level 40, or tier 4 ;-)
I think he said Tier 4, unbeatable either way as a Tier 1 char.

In Warhammer, it's Dwarf, Dwarfs and Dwarfen, no v. However, it's still Elves, Elven and so on.
God (or probably GW ) knows why, it just is like that ^_^
And well...Skaven are already in at release, but only a NPCs which you fight. Same with Undead, Trolls and all kinds of stuff.
But yeah, Skaven vs. Lizardmen, fought out in Lustria does indeed sound like the most probable first Expansion.
But who talks about Expansions, when the Core Game is 6 months from release?
